Nose dive question.

Going to install the 5100s on the 4th notch (2.5") and add a 1/4" spacer so I can get the full 3" in the front. I read that a lot of people have less nose dive, but some people say they have more. What do some of you guys have to say?

If you are just changing the shocks, and not the springs you will have less nose dive under braking, less roll, and less "wallowing" as you go down the road If you are changing the springs at the same time it will really depend on the springs too.

I have a lot less after going to 5100s set at 1.75 vs. stock shocks.

Well I realized that I'm not an idiot and I decided to go with the majority instead of some scum offroad shop that was local to me. Asked if they could give me a little wiggle room on their price of labor and told me to screw off, so I took my money elsewhere. Instead I got the shocks I wanted, paid a lot less, and found a really nice guy whose gonna help me with the install. That sums it up ha

doing the install your self with another persons help now? and Wouldn't you be worried about over extending the shock with it at full lift hight?

Not worried. Why would they make a shock with an option if it could potentially fail?

Well, if I'm halfway normal, any shock could potentially "fail" it just depends how much abuse it's put through before it does fail. Hence why companies put their shocks through rigorous testing before placing it on the market - to see when/how it would fail. I've seen a shock go from being overextended, so it's not impossible.

I'm not gonna be doing a lot of offroading so I think I'll be fine. Has anyone else have any prOblems?
