Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention in my last post. The other reason I use the parking brake in my garage (and whenever I'm parked) is because I step up on the rear tires when drying the roof of my truck. Without the parking brake set, the wheels can turn a little bit each way that makes the footing a bit less stable.

See nothing there that would require the use of the parking brake so I would stop that habit now. Actually would have stopped when it first happened but you know……
May also want to consider sliders. The bad news is that they do more damage to what you hit. The good news is less damage to the 4R. Pick your poison. But I do agree that just being more careful seems like the silly option.
Fewer cheeseburgers = problem solved.

Odd that you didn't noticed the change in yaw angle, especially if you were going slow. The horizon would be shifting left as your hood shifted right. I've washed the truck and let it sit, and the rotors do sometimes rust over a little, like most cars. Sometimes it causes the brake pads to "stick," especially so if the emerg is applied, forcing the pad onto the rotor. But they always release with a "thud" once underway.
For your 4R to slide some two feet, however, without you noticing, putting you several degrees off course is leaving a part of the story out. Were you distracted by some busty bikini-clad babe strutting across the sidewalk? Were you talking on the phone? Was your wife chasing after you with a nine iron?
