Not Another "Tire Fitment Thread"......Yes

Please leave your torches and pitchforks behind. I have searched extensively and done some reading but I'd like to get a more targeted audience's opinion.

Quick Rundown:
V6 4X4 Limited (18" wheels)
Toytec/Bilstein 3" lift
5100's on lowest setting
no spacers
stock UCAs

Lift measurements (after 1 month of settling):
Front Left- 3"
Front Right- 3.25"
Rear Left- 2.25"
Rear Right- 2.25"

The driver's side sits .25" lower in the front and .5" lower in the rear.

The BIG QUESTION..... Can I fit a 275/65R18, specifically the Cooper Discoverer ATP, without major rubbing? I don't mind removing the mud flaps or moving the fender in some, but I'm mostly concerned about the body mount and UCAs. Any experience or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

If they are factory wheels you will hit the upper control arms. If they are aftermarket wheels it would depend on the backspacing. If you have factory wheels and spacers you will be good with minor plastic trimming.

I have a very similar setup and am facing similar questions. I have narrowed my tire selection and have some very close estimates on height and section/tread widths.

I've contacted a few folks with similar lifts on the 18 Limited rims and gotten varying answers, but all close to the same. Everyone was very helpful...so that was nice.

Since I don't plan to get aftermarket UCA's right away (and yes, I've already had it aligned after my 3" Toytec CO install), my plan is to have my shop do a quick test fit with a front wheel and have a set of spacers (for the front only) to install if there are issues. That way I can for sure get the tires I want and can drive home that same day. If I don't need the spacers, then I'll just post them on CL and take a minor loss.

Please DON'T take these measurements as gospel. Much of this is comparing various websites (Tread Depot, Tire Rack, manufacturer specs...). I've only personally measured the BFG AT and the GY DT in the 275/65/18 size, but they were almost spot on with these below so I feel pretty good.

My point in doing this is that the OEM size tire (top line) I'm currently running seems very close to the section/tread width I'd like to run with a 33. I'm not convinced I will be able to run any of these without spacers, but I'm sure willing to take a shot as long as I base it on a little bit of research and anticipate spacer use:

On a personal note, I have wheeling experience with the BFG AT, GY DT, and the Cooper STT, but have heard great things about the Toyo's and watched many friends wheel them all over the Rockies and Moab. I'm strongly leaning to the GY DT based on those experiences.

Oh yeah, and based on my last trail rig, I have no issue with trimming as necessary.

Quick update. Installed Cooper Discoverer ATPs in 265/70-18 today. There was only minor rubbing on the front of the fender liner. Easily fixed. No UCA contact and the mud flaps are still place.

Pretty happy with this tire for a dual purpose (80% daily commute, 20% trail) application.
