Not enough thread engagement on lug nuts :(

So this all started when i ****ed up and put taco rims on my runner (and bought new tires)

They are really close to the control arm. the offset was 14mm closer.

So i got 1/4" spacers, but now i only get 6.5 turns on the lug. Not enough.

Anyone know any ET (extended thread) lugs that will actually fit our trucks and actually give me more turns?

I bought these but they actually ended up having less turns, something to do with the conical seat being a bit different i guess:

Can anyone throw me a bone here?

Can you get longer studs and replace what you have? A PITA, no doubt

Longer studs Are the answer, they're cheap and easy to replace....

My tires have been that close to the control arm for many 'o miles and never had a problem. Unless you're having some kind of issue wheeling, I'd ditch the spacers.

The Taco/4th Gen wheels offset is no good for our trucks. A 1/4" spacer creates even less thread engagement. LOL
I'd use Spider Trax 1.25" wheel spacers.

Ditto on the spider trax. A lot easier to do and you’ll get a wider stance.

the ET lug nuts will work great, but 6.5 turns will work fine as well.

Right, the part im leaving out of the story is that i DID install 1.25 spidertrax and then my wheels hit the damn fenders when under flex on the trail.


so...selling some spidertrax spacers lol.

How wide are your tires? You should put your tire size in the first post. Should not happen with 285's. I'm running the correct offset with 1.5" spacers & my wheels still dont hit the fender? I know some people have issues with Limited flares getting bashed.
