I too had trouble with the bolts on the tools. I just couldn't believe they would sign off on that from the factory. I wondered to myself how I would have loosened them if I did have to use them out on the road somewhere. I had to use other tools to undo that bolt. My stock jack is useless to me with the lift and tires.

There is actually a square hole on one of the pieces for the "spare lowering tools" that will let you back off and tighten the square screw that everyone has been indicating as having trouble with.

A can of WD40/penetrating oil is a good recommendation to have in your truck to either assist with breaking loose lug nuts (or other bolts on your truck as needed) and/or make your hi-lift run smoother for those of us with lifted or larger tire trucks.
