Noticeable diference between OME 890/891

For those who have used both OME 890/891 springs, could you tell the difference unloaded? I just ordered the toytec setup with the front coilovers with the 891/ 60028 comfort shocks and I'm starting to wonder if I made the right decision. The reason for me chooosing the 891 is due to my plans on purchasing a pop up camper, but most of the time the rig will be unloaded.

Any thoughts? I'm actually contemplating about changing my order.

I have the 890s and I think they are plenty stiff enough. Unless you are constantly hauling a lot of weight or have a rear bumper, I don't think you would need the 891s. Just my input.

Thanks for your reply, I emailed toytec and had them change the order for the 890's. After reading a few more threads regarding how harsh the ride is wih 891, I decided to make the switch. How much of a rake do I expect to see with the 890 and the front coilovers?

All depends on where you set the coil overs. That's the beauty if them, you can set them to whatever height suits your needs.

Also, I'd rethink your rear shock choice. Those OME shocks ride like sh*t

I had OME 906 in the rear and changed to 890 (as part of the toyotec kit). The ride is much better but if I were hauling a load at night I think I'd have people flashing me. If I were doing extended nightime hauling I might invest in some air bags to keep the rear level. The boneheads who did the install never gave me back the "special wrenches" for setting the ride height in the front - I'm nose-high and stuck for the time being....

Those spanner wrenches are a key component in owning coilovers!! LOL get those asap. Otherwise you might as well be running normal shocks and springs, and not coilovers!

I have a 99 SR5, the 890s gave me 2 1/2 inches. Other years I think it should give 3 inches. I agree with PitbullRescuer, the shocks are rough. I've heard others have gone with different shocks and got a better ride.
