Hey,
I'm planning on doing some wheeling on the 25th with some guys. We've tossed around Moody Hill, Crystal Mountain, White pine mountain, not set on a place yet. If anyone wants to tag along just let me know and any suggestions for a place to go are welcome too.

People going:
-Me (TCMach)
-FR4R
-Bfaulken
-TMAC110
-Crashman
-Hound

If your interested i can put you down on the list. Ill keep updating this as we figure out where we want to go and meeting time etc.

Awesome. I agree about moody hill, if nobody has a better idea I think we should head there. As far as meeting when and where it hasn't been decided on because we hadn't picked a trail haha.

Looks like it's decided then haha. I was thinking we could head that way pretty soon after lunch. Anybody got ideas on a place to meet? And a specific time?

Anybody who knows me knows I am not a morning person but when it comes to 4x4ing a late start usually means a rushed trip. Eric (Crashman) and I usually leave around 8AM and get there (wherever 'there' is) a little early. This is even more true with the sun setting early in winter time. Being out there in the dark is normally a planned 'night run' not a scramble to fix something or pull somebody's butt off the side of a cliff with little to no light:sobbing:. I would recommend a morning meet up close to the trail head at least by 10AM if not earlier. We can eat lunch out on the trail. Do we want to bring some fire wood for cooking or just eat cold cuts?

Also: Does everybody have CB's? Seems like channel 7 is the norm with the 4Runner groups.

neither me nor TMAC110 has a CB :nono: (on my list)...but 10 works for me if everyone else is cool. I usually end up taking a couple PB&J's but if people would rather cook, I'd be down.

You might want to grab a CB in the next couple of days. It really does help in both safety and enjoyment. If nothing else you don't have to stop and get out at every fork in the road, mud puddle and hill. It will also save you an earful if you go out with Gerdo or another group. They are required by most groups you will find.

Sounds like 10AM is the time, we have a destination, lunch sounds up in the air. Now where to meet????????

BTW: I am easy to spot; Red and Tan Jeep JK.

I have no CB either but I've been looking into getting one for a while and now might just be the time. 10 sounds good to me time wise. And as far as a meeting place goes if we just want to meet somewhere simple we can meet at the target on college (the street). It's really easy to get to from the highway and has a bigger parking lot.

Well, nothing like a little peer pressure to get me to buy a new toy :biggrin2: I just emailed a guy on CL about a CB, but unless I can pick it up Saturday night when I get back in town, I wont have it installed for this trip...And the Target lot works for me.
