Hey all, my factory head unit is basically done. It no longer works. Was hoping someone out there who has upgraded their headunit might have their old one for sale. Prefer the navigation but otherwise the JBL 6 disc will work. Needs to be one of those because I have the limited w/JBL and dont think the others will work.

Hey I just saw one JBL on ebay free shipping for $120 for a 06-08 4runner...not sure if fits your 03.

I have upgraded mine and still have the OEM factory but it is just the regular one not the JBL...everything works fine tho'...If it fits yours and you are interested It's yours for $85 + shipping..

Do you currently have NAV or 6 disc? They are different.

I have a spare 6 disc JBL from an '04 because I bought one and then found it wouldn't fit. I had the single disc JBL. I then found someone with a 6 disc and they wanted to upgrade to a NAV.

Bottom line is the 6 disc is different from the NAV or single disc.
 
I have the 6 disc and aware they are different but not too concerned about the different fascias.

I've been looking on ebay for the last few days and must have accidently skipped over that headunit. Thanks for the link!

I am currently running a 2005 JBL single disk unit which has been rock steady (not like the 6 disk ). It fits perfectly in my dash.
 
Hey guys found a navi unit on ebay its an E7007 and wants $675.00. Description says it comes with the antenna and the map disc. Let me know if you guys will think this will work so I can push the buy now button. Thanks.
 
head unit-03 6disc with tape- I need

I am looking for one too. Anyone have one that doesn't work and want to get rid of it? I basically found a gear on the changer that caused it not to feed/ eject... not before trashing mine though...
Anyone?

Or offer me a good price on the one thats in the garage covered with dust...

I'd be willing to send you mine but I'm also going to attempt to get the cd's out of it so not sure how much stuff I'm going to break inside to get them out though.

Also anyone have any insight on the E7007 unit? Just figured I'd ask here instead of starting a new post. Thanks in advanced.

I retrofitted one into my non-JBL system. Amazing features on this. But to get it to work properly, you might need to update the amp (not entirely sure about this) because some of the older 4th-gen amps are different and don't support the voice prompts. You'll also need to run a couple wires to the amp to get the voice prompts. Of course, the bezel/fascia is different. You'll also need to hook up the speed sensor/reverse sensor wires. If you want to take advantage of the bluetooth, you'll need to purchase a separate microphone and add on the steering wheel controls on the right side of your steering wheel. Also, the E7007 has green backlighting. I don't mind the green so much, but some might. So, if you don't mind the trouble installing, it's an amazing system. As far as how to install it, I don't quite remember the specifics, but there are a lot of threads about the installation on the forum. Hope that helps you out.
