Nu-Fab nerf or Toyota predator steps on 4runner

You have 2 choices, C4FAB sliders with the pro step, or nothing at all. I went with the second option as I don’t like adding weight.
I love my Pelfreybilt sliders. I did a top plate on it so people have somewhere to step. I personally didn't want it, but it won me points with the girlfriend lol so they has a "step" to use to get in.

I had sliders then went to the n fab. I think they look good and function better as a step then sliders. I only do light off roading, camping, etc. so sliders were not needed and being that this is my daily ride; the salt, mud, dirt, etc. hitting my pant leg was not helping my work clothes as I stepped out.
If I had seen these before I got the N Fab, I may have gone this route:

I have been very happy with he N fab setup. I have had none of the rust that several people have complained about in the 1 year I have had them. I did take the trouble to paint them with POR-15 before installing them. I like the way they look and my wife likes the help in getting in. If I did more serious off road driving, I would get sliders instead.

Mine came with the N-Fab steps. I like the looks but will eventually be moving to sliders from 4xinnovations. Plan is to take the removable step off and have a local shop weld some tabs onto the sliders for it. My wife is short and doesn't like climbing into my 86 runner on 35s, so this is my way to keep her happy.

I had the predator steps on my Taco and loved the look but went with the N-Fab on my 4runner because they seem less likely to get ripped off when off-road. The shape of the predator steps are just begging to get caught on something and hang down pretty low. The N-Fabs are closer to the body and more streamlined.
[MENTION=172407]vondy21[/MENTION], Agree. Sharp, low hanging steps look like they could be trouble off-road. Since I drive a 4R TRD Pro, Predators don't look like they would go well with the rounded tubes in the roof rack. So I chose the Nerfs. They seem to be a good compromise between the sharp-edged Predators and the rock sliders.
I’ve had both on my 2017 4Runner. I settled on the Toyota Predator steps because I found the front step is better placed for climbing in and out. The N-fab front step was, for me, too far forward. Especially when getting out. Just my experience but if you can test one or both out, maybe at a dealer, I’d recommend it. I don’t go off-road where damage would be a concern, so the steps work well for me and my family.

I have the Tyger nerf bars on my truck. They look nice, stick out enough to prevent door dings, and help the fam get in and out. However, there are a lot of days I wish I had just sucked it up and gone with sliders.
Here in Chicago, I see A LOT of rust on the predator tubes. Just sayin'...

I love my N-Fabs, they function more as actual steps than the Predators
Toyota OEM Predator steps, or aftermarket like the nFab nerf?
I though the OEM Predators were aluminum which should not have rust issues like the steel ones.

Must be the nFab ones that I am seeing all rusted out. Those low-hanging steps look like they would grab everything off-road too.
