The day i got it from the dealership

The first thing i did was get the front window tined to match, i think it's 30% or 35% didn't want to go too dark NYS troopers love tinted windows in Ny!

Then plasti dipped the wheels and all the emblems, it came out great and have always loved the blacked out look on silver/white vehicles!

Next came the Pioneer Avic z150bh in dash Navigation Unit+Back up camera+Remote start. I came from a infiniti M35x which had all the bells and whistles so i wanted to retain some of that in the 4runner. Pioneer unit has been great love the Nav and the touch screen, back up camera is a blessing in NYC and the remote start well because it gets pretty cold in the winter in NY so its nice to have!

Exhaust , i ended up going with the Magna Flow suv muffler. After researching a lot of different mufflers the reason i went with this was because it has a nice deep tone for a v6 but not too loud and droned out on the highway. Here's a pic of the tip and how i had it routed out the side behind rear passenger side tire.

Now for the fun stuff ! I wanted to do a reasonable lift right now and still maintain the Xreas suspension since everything is still good and intact. I was originally just going to do the daystar spacers but then i figured if could stiffen up the ride and gain the same lift that this would be a better route. I purchased a set of brand new FJ springs from a member on the FJ forum and the Cornfed 2/1 spacers along with a 1" diff drop, Custom rear end links and spidertarx all the way around.

Tires 275/65/18 General Grabber AT2 E Rated
Only had them for about a week and so for love them! they feel nice and solid on road and got to test them on a coupe trials one with light snow and they did great these tires are solid, wasn't anything too difficult but still off road.
IMG_1691.jpg

I did the spring and spacers at my buddy's shop. The install was pretty simple and straight forward, i was a little worried about doing the fronts at first with the Xreas but it went really smooth! It definitely helped having the attached links in the FJ sticky. I will say my buddy was Huge help as he's the mechanic but Definitely having the right tools is must and made life a lot easier! The only thing that gave us a issue was the upper ball joint nut on the drivers side was rusted and we couldn't get it off.But thats what the torch is for:flamethrwoer2: Again Tools!

IMG_1716.jpg

Really happy with the way it turned out! It rubbed a little when turning in reverse, After the alignment it rubber worse but not in reverse but when making sharp turns on both front fenders, 5 minutes with the dremel took care of that oh and i moved the fender liner forward while doing the front lift. I don't have any pics of this but just thought i'd share

Nice snowy pic with the new rack! Waiting for the low pro brackets to come in for it but I kinda like it sitting up high like that!?!?

Thanks man! :)

Haha not at all,i just wish some one would tell that to my wife lol she thinks i'm crazy:loco::noidea:

We like pics here. Just tell her if they weren't pics of trucks and trails then they'll probably be pics of hot chicks. But then pics of trucks with hot chicks on trails aren't a bad thing either. :D

Yeah she doesn't get it,,well i guess we could always have worse hobbys or habits. Haha not a bad thing at all, the best of both worlds :thumb:

Put the brackets on today from Armor Tech off Road for the Rola rack. The rack sits nice and low now and i feel like it blends much better with the truck, looks more like it's all one now rather then before when it was sitting on the cross bars. I also drove about 2 and 1/2 hours on the highway tonight and it sounded much quieter and noticed a little better gas mileage.

Oh also just FYI the brackets come with 8 washers to use when securing the brackets to the roof rails but I had to take them out because the rack wouldn't fit, I took all the washers off and the rack fits like a glove now. I have the sport roof rack so the washers might work fine on the sr5 and limited rails?

A couple quick cell pics

I painted the brackets with rustoleum primer and black paint so the steel won't rust.
