O2 Sensor Confusion

I've been trying to find the Denso number for an upstream o2 sensor for my 01 SR5. I've searched and come up with around 5 different Denso numbers. I've even gone to the Denso site and they're showing only the down stream sensor with part number 234-4261. I looked on Autozones site and they're calling for a Denso 234-9002, and URD is also calling for the 234-9002 sensor. Also, does anyone know the part number for the nuts too? I think they'll need to be replaced as well.

So which one is it?

Look in the tutorial and documentation reference link inside the master directory sticky. It has a link to an O2 sensos thread that links to the URD list. URD seems to be the most accurate list.

The reason Denso does not show an upstream O2 sensor is that you don't have one. ALL '01 (and '02) 4Runners have an air/fuel sensor upstream, and I guarantee the Denso site will show that. I'm pretty sure URD is just a copy of the Denso site, and you can click through to pictures on the Denso site and get good info like wire length, so I use that. I have never seen a conflict between the two.

The nuts are Part # 90179-08059, but any stainless M8-1.25 nut will do for cheaper.

That's what I just found out as well. I just ordered the 234-9002 Denso sensor, and I'm sure I have some nuts that size around the shop somewhere.

You got the right one - I have an 01 T4R as well, will be ordering my own A/F sensor here soon.
