Obama: US has always paid it's bills

Where do "you people" get this stuff?

And you make this legislation sound like a benign issue that doesn't have far-reaching affects on the populace. My eyes are seeing it much differently than yours.

The populace that has the character to take responsibility for themselves will be just fine. Those that don't won't be.

No, we're being fukked by "you people" forcing us to take responsibility for those that weren't taking care of themselves before that got us into this mess. :yo:

If you are THAT screwed over by all this, then you need to take a long hard look at your own situation and put as much energy towards improving that as you have this stupid thread and address things you can change rather than those you can't.

Oh, and we had that "responsibility" before and will always.

You people always seem to know what's good/better for us people.

This makes absolutely no sense. Up is down, black is white. WTF are you saying?? That the contributors have to take a long look at our own situations?? To continue, put more energy towards improving our situations?? All the while just accept the things we can't change??? Who decides what I/we can't change, you??

Get a clue pal, just one would do initially.

YOU people are free to hand out as much as you like. As for me, all I do is continually work to improve my situation. The only thing outpacing that effort is all of YOU people coming for my earnings. Never happy, never satisfied....always more more more, take take take.

I will never accept things as they are, and you are the last person to establish what anyone can/cannot change.

Don't worry about hikenbike...he is "poor" by his own admission, yet spends thousands of dollars on worthless watches! He apparently does not know how to save $$. He wishes deadly harm on people who make more $$$$ than him (and actually spend wisely). He self-admitted that he wishes rich people die.

These folks like hikenbike are the fukked up folks that are staunch Obama lovers.

Here is Hikenbike's response to a simple new Rolex watch...and you tell me if this is not truly screwed up...this is really fukked up thinking...and typical of Obama voters:

Nice. But an utter complete waste. Not nearly attainable for the vast majority of people. Who will appreciate it? Very, very few - basically insignificant. Most that own it probably won't. They bought the brand and figure $x.xx gets them X prestige and they go no deeper than that. Probably have no idea what's inside - could be mouse on a wheel in there.

Like the guy who speaks of the 3 cool new Honeywell TFE731-5BR-1C turbofan engines in his private jet. Secretly (or perhaps no so secretly) we hope he flys it into a mountain so perhaps one of his kin will buy another in his honor and keep the economic engine running.

The rich get richer. This kind of opulence is sad actually because nobody really cares. I mean, why continue to try to perfect what is already basically perfect? Want to impress me? Cure cancer, kill Assad, or figure out how to keep guns out of the hands of lunatics.

(Of course, sadly, it is also interesting that he has several expensive toys in his garage...and just last month, spent over $1000 on watches. It reminds me of the food stamp person buying filet minion while people with jobs buys lesser meat. But, it is always these same folks who yell the loudest at the oppression by the rich!)

A few post later, he re-confirm what he wrote:

Meant my first post though.

Now, this truly gives you a glimpse into the mind of a typical Obama voter. Hikenbike's post is most bothersome on a basic human level...it is just not right in this guy's head and his perception of the world. I would bet that he sees himself always as the victim in his life and blame others for having more...and genuinely wishing them harm. That's the scum that we have to deal with.

So, if this is accurate then it further demonstrates the very common trait of liberals....text book hypocrites.

Another rank and file.....

I wish one of them would prove otherwise.....won't happen, but I do enjoy the show

But wait guys, he works at a Fortune 500 company.........and surely knows how the economy works and that businesses just need to give a little more. None of this is the fault of busted legislation that nobody wants.

The sad part is that Hikenbike goes around buying (literally) junk watches because he does not know any better and REFUSES to learn...but oh no, he is not the wasteful one...it is the rich that must die a tragic death! I would bet that folks like him would stomp all over the graves of US fallen soldiers just because they fought in a war that they (Hikenbike et al) did not believe in.

Of course, without folks who are true capitalists (thus form the foundation of our country), who would the ungrateful folks like Hikenbike work for? Who would pay for their filet steak? Who would pay for their health insurance? Slap the hands that feeds you. Pure Obama idiocy.

Absolute, inexcusable Galactic MORON.......Pelosi is in the same league.

Feinstein on Obamacare - YouTube

After all of the reading I have done here I have to believe that there are at least SOME reasonable people in California. Why on this green Earth do you stay there if you can't get rid of this thoroughbred a$$hat??

Don't want to step too deep into this heehaw pile on, but I sure am hearing lots of complaining and no progressive discussion of solutions to the problems you're feigning outrage about.

I don't think you guys are going to scream "Obama is destroying American, oh woe is me" and get to a better place.

But what do I know, I don't have a valuable enough watch or something.

Obama: US Has Always Paid Its Bills

That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard.

I unsbscribed a long time ago but had too much free time on my hands today and caught up on this thread that was about President Obama asking to raise the debt limit.

It's devolved into utter nonsense and name calling as these tend to do. I think everyone needs to look at the history of debt ceiling increases.

Under Bush the debt ceiling increased:

by $450 billion to $6.4 trillion in June 2002;
by $984 billion to $7.384 trillion 11 months later, in May 2003;
by $800 billion to $8.184 trillion 18 months later, in November 2004;
by $781 billion to $8.965 trillion 16 months later, in March 2006;
by $850 billion to $9.815 trillion 18 months later, in September 2007;
by $800 billion to $10.615 trillion 10 months later, in July 2008;
by $700 billion to $11.315 trillion three months later, in October 2008.

Under Clinton the debt ceiling increased:

by $225 billion to $4.37 trillion in April 1993;
by $530 billion to $4.9 trillion four months later, in August 1993;
by $600 billion to $5.5 trillion two years and seven months later, in March 1996;
by $450 billion to $5.95 trillion 17 months later

Under Bush the debt ceiling increased:

by $70 billion to $2.87 trillion in August 1989;
by $252.7 billion to $3.1227 trillion three months later, in November 1989;
by $107.3 billion to $3.23 trillion 11 months later, in October 1990;
by $915 billion to $4.145 trillion one month later, in November 1990.

Under Reagan the debt ceiling was raised to:

$985 billion in February 1981;
$999.8 billion in September 1981;
$1.0798 trillion September 1981;
$1.1431 trillion in June 1982;
$1.2902 trillion in September 1982;
$1.389 trillion in May 1993;
$1.49 trillion in November 1983;
$1.52 trillion in May 1984;
$1.573 trillion in July 1984;
$1.8238 trillion in October 1984;
$1.9038 trillion in November 1985;
$2.0787 trillion in December 1985;
$2.111 trillion in August 1986;
$2.3 trillion in October 1986;
$2.32 trillion in July 1987;
$2.352 trillion in August 1987;
$2.8 trillion in September 1987.

With the facts laid out I ask why is everyone so upset when President Obama does the same thing Presidents before him did? Did everyone getting upset get riled up like this in the past? It seems like there's something else going on here.

I don't think anyone is defending ANY Presidents policy of raising the debt ceiling. If we want to delve into that more we should peel back the layers of the Fed & our doomed financial system based on fiat currency.

Print print print, spend spend spend......this has to stop. And the truth is it will. Either by default or by making hard choices, like folks taking responsibility for themselves. There are a lot of other factors but this is at the root of the problem. Spending is out of control, too many on the dole and could give two shits about pulling their own weight.

It's because your dear leader Hussein is a Moslim and because he's Destroying America™.

No other President has been mentioned has there? Lots of venting, lots of anger by many people and no mention of the Bush's or Reagan make me suspect there's something else going on in people's minds.

too many on the dole and could give two shits about pulling their own weight.

I don't think you'd disagree that the above quote is what your primary complaint is all about and does not apply only to President Obama but past President's as well, am I correct?

If I was a member of an online forum during any of those other Presidents terms I would be commenting regarding bad policy choices and moves. Simple fact is that I wasn't, or was not nearly as active on the forums.

And to you second point, yes. Far too many people have no interest in supporting themselves. This has been a long term issue. Now it has been in play long enough that they have a serious sense of entitlement and complacency. No self sufficiency or individual responsibility or accountability. Gimme gimmie gimmie.....that's it. I see this first hand, and I jump down their case when I have the chance too. They don't have to be responsible, and they know it. Just stick your hand out...that's it. I personally know 14 families (I know them all personally, not through anyone else) that intentionally/knowingly had 3 or more kids because it's their "right" and that's what they "wanted" to do. Not a care as far as how to house, feed, provide healthcare etc. Just lay back and have ore kids.

Just got a text from one of those families asking for $700 to move. Their kids are now 16/14/10. That's 16 years of boneheaded dipshit decisions and having more kids.....they still can't rub 2 pennies together. If I know 14 families personally, by name, with over 40 kids amongst them all, all on the dole, then just how big is this problem. It's an epidemic, and only shows signs of getting worse.

I don't see anything like that myself, my working class neighborhood is full of honest, hard-working people. Your vision is based on your observations and mine on my own which reflect our opinions.

What you posted is pretty sad, you need to move or something.

I don't get it, how's that gonna solve any problems?

And dammit, every time I see your name I think about trains.
