I don't think anyone is defending ANY Presidents policy of raising the debt ceiling. If we want to delve into that more we should peel back the layers of the Fed & our doomed financial system based on fiat currency.

Print print print, spend spend spend......this has to stop. And the truth is it will. Either by default or by making hard choices, like folks taking responsibility for themselves. There are a lot of other factors but this is at the root of the problem. Spending is out of control, too many on the dole and could give two shits about pulling their own weight.

If I was a member of an online forum during any of those other Presidents terms I would be commenting regarding bad policy choices and moves. Simple fact is that I wasn't, or was not nearly as active on the forums.

And to you second point, yes. Far too many people have no interest in supporting themselves. This has been a long term issue. Now it has been in play long enough that they have a serious sense of entitlement and complacency. No self sufficiency or individual responsibility or accountability. Gimme gimmie gimmie.....that's it. I see this first hand, and I jump down their case when I have the chance too. They don't have to be responsible, and they know it. Just stick your hand out...that's it. I personally know 14 families (I know them all personally, not through anyone else) that intentionally/knowingly had 3 or more kids because it's their "right" and that's what they "wanted" to do. Not a care as far as how to house, feed, provide healthcare etc. Just lay back and have ore kids.

Just got a text from one of those families asking for $700 to move. Their kids are now 16/14/10. That's 16 years of boneheaded dipshit decisions and having more kids.....they still can't rub 2 pennies together. If I know 14 families personally, by name, with over 40 kids amongst them all, all on the dole, then just how big is this problem. It's an epidemic, and only shows signs of getting worse.
