OBDII PC Interface

I did not want to hijack a thread I previously asked a question about, so I started this one. It has remotely been discussed before. So is anyone using an ODBII device? I am only interested in a blackbox to Laptop scanner connectivity. I want to monitor Air flow, air to fuel ratios, read trouble codes, clear codes, hydrocarbons, O2 sensor performance, and plot certain parameters. Some even simulate a Dyno. This would be nice so I could actually debunk or validate any bolt-on performance Mod.

It's a blackbox to laptop type system, but I'm not sure it does everything you mentioned. For example I don't think you'll get dyno simulations and hydrocarbon emission data. It does monitor and log around a dozen or so parameters like throttle position, RPM, ignition timing, O2 sensor info etc. It reads fault codes and is supposed to be able to clear "check engine" lights.

Harrison has rs-232 and usb models. I got the canscan model as this will become the industry standard soon. The 2005 has the beginnings of a fully implemented CAN bus.
