Does anyone have obx headers? There are a pair on ebay and i was thinking about getting them. Do you think it is worth getting headers i already have a magnaflow.

I have heard of these OBX headers being of lower quality and hard to install.

The best best for headers is the Doug Thorley. They are the best quality.

As for your results, if you have an intake and exhaust you can benefit from the headers. You will have to install a MAF calibrator to realize the true gains from the headers but in the end they will be worth it. If you are SC like your name implies you will even gain more after the install.

headers

I had a set of those for awhile never installed them though. they are cheap TRD knock offs. the best headers out there are the TRD's all stainless steel construction. I had them ceramic coated on top of that. total cost for everything 650. search on ebay a set will pop up. If you do go with the OBX headers make sure you get them coated those pipes are very thin. Also the gaskets that come with them are terrible so you will want to buy a set from this Steve Norr at SCE gaskets. He made a set of one piece solid copper ones for me before I came across the trd set up. hope this helps.

I have TRD and OBX headers sitting in my garage. I can tell you the OBX stuff is slightly thinner wall and the gaskets suck, but they are larger primary and secondary piping vs. TRD. However, TRD does have much better collectors than the OBX.

It's probably a wash power wise between the two headers.

I will be installing the TRD headers at some point, I'll sell you the OBX ones for a deal if you're interested.

I may be interested in the OBX headers, that is if Flex doesn't beat me to it...

Also you will definitely get an increase in power if you are supercharged. Warning, if you aren't running a 7th injector the headers will cause you to run even leaner...

headers

you will get a 10-15 increase in power if your run headers over stock tubing with the super charger installed as well. I cant stress enough to get them ceramic coated! and yes they are a pain in the mother tucking a$$ to install but well worth it if you plan on keeping you truck. If you go with the OBX get the gaskets from Steve Norr at SCE gaskets mention me and you should get a discount. and if you get the TRD headers you will need to get new gaskets that go in between the headers and the engine block if they don't come with the headers themselves.

Unless you're SC'd the cost and time (or more money if you can't install yourself) is highly debatable if it's worth it since you will see less than 10 whp on a naturally aspirated setup and it will be up higher in the rpm band so it's highly unlikey you'll really notice a diff in power unless you are always stomping on it and even then you probably won't see the benefit.
