I have a tire question that hopefully someone in here will see and be able to answer. The 285/7017 DuraTrac's come in OWL which I just found out is outline white lettering. Please tell me that it's not the same on both sides because I really don't want white lettering. I hope they are like most tires where you can flip them around and have the all black on the other side.

OCMEDIC, you shouldn't have a problem there. I'm running 285/70-17 Duratrac's and you can switch them around so that the black lettering is on the outside. Awesome tire, you'll love them. Looking forward to seeing your rig!
Oh, and Sun Valley ID is beautiful. You'll love it up there.

Great news. Ya I'm pretty excited about the move, I used to go when I was really young but haven't been back in 15 years or so. But I am a 6 day a week mountain biker and general lover of the outdoors so I think it's going to suite me perfectly. In reality I just need a break from southern california, I was born here, went to college hear and have really never been away. I would assume there would be some good 4wheeling up there seeing as though there's hundreds of miles of forest and mountains to the north.

Those actually look really cool but they look like they are going to be $500 all said and done as well, which at this point I can definitely not afford. I pretty much emptied my saving for my initial build so at this point the only things I will be buying will be used or for an awesome deal. But when you buy sliders do you have to buy the $125 bolt on kit or can you just use the ones that hold on the sport ed sliders?

to have actual rock sliders (that protect your vehicle) they need to weld or bold to the main frame of the vehicle not where the factory running boards mount.. 4xinnovations has the best deals on sliders there weld on though so you'll need a buddy with a welder and some fabricating tools.

Your right those are an epic deal and I believe I have a friend who will be able to weld those on. I have one question though, what is the kickout for? Is it to make it easier to stand on to grab things off the hood? I am going to order those.

As a preface it's really a preference thing. It can be more useful (pushing away from rocks, step, etc) but it can be a bother (sticks out further). It seems like most members who have bought sliders recently have ordered kickouts.
That may be because the earlier styles were bolt on and don't have as many kickout options as the weld on sliders that seem more popular here recently. Guess maybe it's because 4th gens are getting older and people are less scared about welding to the frame.
I have kickouts and would recommend them but that doesn't mean that they're better.

Finally got a hold of a camera so I could take a couple pics of my ride, everything is still stock but felt like I should have some before pics. Talked to the shop and they are on schedule to be able to have everything in and installed Friday except for the roof rack which I am still waiting on.
This thing needs a makeover immediately.

I used duplicolor spray on bed liner, I liked the rough finish look of it but durring the summer it can be somewhat compared to sliding your leg on sand paper if you get out of the truck wrong lol. Any durable spray paint is adequate i definitely recommend the kick out its great for getting up to the rack as well as previously stated its design purpose is to push your rear truck tires away from getting hung up on a tree/rock that you may slide into on an off camber slippery decent off-road. oh and IMO it just looks bad ass lol.
