With a group all you need are some straps on these trails. There are only a few spots of this entire route that have potential to be truly problematic in wet weather. The rest with some common sense we will be fine. Ive ran this route in heavy rain and whiteout snow, all by my lonesome. We will be fine.

Yellowpost sites will very likely be empty for the taking with this kind of weather.

You're going to need to leave at 6:30am latest.

It is a solid 2 hrs from Vista (3 for me) with all the slower roads once you head into the forest area.

I'll be up there the night before. Just head up on your own, leave early and you'll be good.

You can run these trails bone stock. Either way you should come out.

Just got the green light to camp friday night, so Ill be headed up Friday around 7 or 8, just gonna sleep in my truck as its very cozy on cold nights. If not thats completely fine as i know the yellowpost sites will be empty
