Hey guys I haven't been on in a while but I'm having a weird issue and I'd really appreciate some insight, OK so the other day my starter went out and me being stubborn and impatient I kept turning my key over and over and pretty much broke the locking chamber well I replaced the starter and bypassed my ignition and started my 4runner from the ignition switch itself, then then next day when I reached back to start her the ignition switch started sparking and the car began turning over, so I panicked and unplugged the ignition switch and replaced it. But now it dose nothing when I try to start it I even replaced the locking chamber and I get no power no turn over nothing! I know the battery works and is charged and I've checked all my fuses and everything seems fine!. I'm not sure if I burned out the computer or what, if anyone thinks the have a clue please help, my mechanic cant even figure it out!!!

You shorted something out which usually causes things to melt together. You need to most likely get the entire electrical system overlooked by I would say a dealership. Even then they might have issues pin pointing this. Have you checked the easy things like all the fuses and the large fuse for alternator. If this frys you wont get any power anywhere.

OK, everything doesn't seem fine to me, it won't start!

So how did you check ALL your fuses, and did you check the 120A Alt fuse and the 40A Am1 fuse? I would start there, report voltage and get back to us!

No of course not I've had my t4R for 3 years now and it was owned by a friend before so no thefts lol, and to be honest no I did not check my alternator fuse(rookie mistake) I'll do that asap and get back to you. But to be honest when I put the key in the ignition I still get a chime tone so do sent that mean I'm still getting some sort of power

Yes, but that is coming from the 30A AM2 fuse, guess that one is good! But the other two are more important right now.

Strike that, it's the 40A AM1 that powers the accessory circuit. So that only leaves the the 30A AM2, which should be 2 down from the 120A fuse, on the left side, or closest to the front of the vehicle.

But check those other fuses ANYWAY! You can never just "think" they are good, you have to KNOW it.
