OEM 4runner fog light 96-98?

How much do these go for? new in box? a friend of mine have a set in the original toyota box sitting in his garage and told me to make him an offer. i dont see these for sale too often so i really dont know how much they go for. any input will be much appreciated.

I have a cracked lens on one of mine - so was looking at these recently. They were around $175 for the assembly new from a discount Toyota parts online dealer. May be able to find them cheaper if you have patience.

Like $20 man, they werent the same ones as the other guy said were $175. These are just square lights, you could probably make your own set from like a cheap brand.

I heard you can use some hella 550's as a cheaper replacement. Plus i bet they have better light output.

On a 97, where would the stock fogs go? I think Ive seen them in the bumper in the corners of the center opening, but I just dont see how they would fit there on my truck. Am I missing something?

Dealer equipped option. There's mounting points for fogs in this exact location shown in the pic.

Thanks, thats where Ive seen them installed too. But Im guessing to install them, youd have to cut out spots for them on the center plastic strip in the lower grill. Mine goes all the way across, I couldnt put them there as is.

There is a factory bracket needed that fites behind and also a clip/screw type retainer for the center plastic crossbar that you will have to cut at each end. OEM were Hella and are really hard to find and $$$. I would just get another set with roughly same dimensions which is somewhere around 5"x3" or so....didnt measure but is a good estimate. Heres a pic of where they go....

Thanks man, thats what I was thinking, that they would have to be cut out to fit there. Ive also been thinking of getting a Bull Grill push bar, maybe it would be better to install there. WIll see.

i dont know why, but i like oem parts even if they are made by someone else. but we'll see, because i like round fogs more then squares. i just wanted to know a price range of those fogs new or used. thanks for the input everyone :cheers:

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what I could use as a bracket to attach these since I did not have them as a dealer installed option. I want to do something very similar with some Hella's or PIAA's

I want to make them look as close to OEM as possible. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Op you mentioned you like round fog lights better. If youre willing to do a little fabrication you can install Hella Micro DEs into the valance like this. Its not terribly difficult. And the DE's are awesome. Almost like a second set of headlights. Literally I can drive around at night with just the fogs on and see fine.

Did you figure out good way to mount the hellas or find a bracket that worked? Got the same situation with a set of old 550's and a 96 3rd gen

Anyone know what size the replacement bulbs are on the factory/dealer installs ones?

Factory Hellas and I have yet to find a set of 3x5's that fit into the factory housings. All have been too small.

Blazer C8010 and C8011 rear mount 3x5 fit on the factory mount.
