OEM Nav, bluetooth, sat radio retrofit

Hey guys,
New to the forums. Just picked up an 06 4runner ltd with JBL sound.
I know this has been covered before on different posts here and there but I thought I would post progress and hopefully receive some helpful advice along the way.

I managed to find a Nav HU JBL E7008, overhead console with mic and bluetooth steering wheel controls from a wreckers in Alberta. I had them ship to me in Toronto.

Installed the steering wheel controls following an article on this forum.
Then I installed the head unit and overhead console.

Everything installed fine with no issues.

FIRST problem I have encountered with functionality is that the Aux jack no longer works. Any one know what pin that is on with the jbl nav unit? Must be different from the non nav jbl because it is no longer working.

SECONDLY I need to hook up a GPS antenna. I heard that eclipse GPS antennas will work. Anyone have a model number for that?

Congrats on the install!

The Aux jack doesn't seem to be compatible with some E700x unit for whatever reason. I could look as some pinouts to see if an "aux audio in" exist, I'll report back.

As far as the GPS antenna, I would get an OEM Toyota unit. Very easy. Head to the fleabay, type "OEM Toyota antenna". When I was doing this project, they were going for something like $50, now it's about double that. However, there seems to "generic" ones that are about $15+. Try that, what can you lose? Regarding the "eclipse" brand, I have no idea.

im doing the same thing to my '05. you are an '06, so everything will be easier as all the wires and plugs are already there.

The way I read it, the "stereo jack" is your 3.5mm input.

[MENTION=30225]yosh2000[/MENTION] for the win! So then [MENTION=125058]06t4rltd[/MENTION] , there ya go! (R18, pins 2,3,5,6). Not sure how to connect that to "input". Not widely reported IIMC, so report back if you successfully connect it.

I followed your diagram and jumped the stereo jack wires over to the R27 connector pins 2,3,5,6. Aux now works fine.

FYI When I bought the nav unit i also had them cut the harnesses for the HU and send them to me.

Next is mic. After installing my new overhead console with the poem mic, I hooked up the harness and followed that wire bundle down behind the dash right above the driver footwell.
I found the male harness taped up not plugged into anything. So I cut the harness off and ran those wires to the corresponding mic pins 20,19,17. Mic now works but I have no voice coming out of the speakers.

From what I have read, nav voice to amp should give me the capability to hear the person talking on the other end. So I ran those wire back to the amp to harness S11 pin, 22,23.
No luck yet, still not getting a voice for nav or bluetooth calls. Anyone have any ideas??

Quick update. I got the voice out working on pin 22,23 on the amp. Sounds great! So bluetooth is completely functional. Next step is the GPS.
