Found out recently that the new(2016+?) Tacoma mirrors are the same as well...maybe that'll help somebody!

Picked mine up from local dealership. The parts people were less than helpful. Same with service department. They said since it not engineered for the 4Runner-they are sold without warranty and at own risk installing. They wouldn't touch it!! I got home, put them in within 5 mins. I will say the passenger side wire for the heating element is just barely long enough. Fought for probably 15 mins trying to get that one in! Had to plug in the wire with mirror upside down and spin it very carefully not to unplug it and then put it in place. Very tricky!

How did you go about prying off the original mirrors? I just got my Rav4 mirrors from ToyotaOnlineParts.com for $80, but cannot seem to pry off the original mirrors. I feel like I keep fighting the powered mirror gearing.
Any tips?

You use these things called your fingers, you then grip, and use muscles.

I finished my IPA and gave it another try. They pulled right off. I was using a large screw driver when I first gave it a try. Using those things called fingers made it much easier.

It feels like you're going to break them but don't sweat it. They should come off just fine. Plus, even if they were to break, you're putting better ones on so who cares!:shrug:

One of the factory clips broke on the driver's side coming off. But, they will never go on again, so it's all good! I just don't understand Toyota's thinking behind some of the things they do. Why wouldn't they put these mirrors on the 4Runners for safety from the factory? It just baffles me. My $24k Mazda CX-5 has standard blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and heated front cloth seats standard on it for $12k less than the 4Runner.

because these do not provide any more safety beyond what having your mirrors adjusted properly do...
I just got a price of 80 per mirror here in Ontario Canada at my local dealership. Same part number as listed by OP
(I am from Vancouver, Canada)
My dealer told me the part numbers provided by OP are Japan made and gave me the following North America made part numbers.
87931-0R210
87961-0R220
I have emailed them back to make sure they are exactly the same and will still allow me to keep the heating function. Will update when I get a response.
Per my last post. My dealer just confirmed that these part numbers are the exact same as what the OP posted FYI. Just placed my order for them!

did the exact same thing. flew from nyc down to georgia to get my trd pro. Had the mirrors in my duffel bag with me. Great upgrade that should have came standard.

I got mine from langley Toyotatown I ordered the two part numbers in the first post and received the same part numbers no crossing to a different number. They took a week to get as they had to come from another distribution center, back East I think.
