OEM rims that fit 3rd gen's?

I know the Sequoia, tundra, and some Lexus wheels fit, I love my Tundra's. What other OEM rims fit on the 3rd gen? Share pics, don't have to be Toyota's either.

some use FJ Cruiser

you want stock I presume so that would be 16 x 7 JJ

bolt pattern is 6 x 5.5

So some guys here or over on Yota Tech run FJ Cruiser wheels.

I've read that some Chevy/General Motors wheels will fit but take that with a grain of salt-some reports indicate the hub diameter is smaller on the domestic offerings.

I have been on the hunt for a nice set of Tundra/Sequoia wheels like yours. I also like the TRD BBS wheels and the TRD Ivan Stewarts but $$$.

TRD Ivans are 16 x 8 so beware

Just so you will know the TRD Ivan Stewarts are 16 x 8 and they may rub the front A arms on a 3rd gen Runner.

They fit Tacomas nicely however.

My understanding is that with the change in offset that there should be no problems. But I have been wrong before...

Good distinction. glad you mentioned it.

It may be a matter of the rubber more than the wheels themselves. I can only report that on my 99 running 265/75/16 BFG All Terrain T/A KOs I experienced rubbing on the A arms and could not stand it.

I believe some folks had better luck running the narrower 235/85/16s on Ivans.

I actually got mine for free:trophy: and was able to sell them to help pay for my other mods. I love Denver craigslist!

Not sure how accurate this info is but I heard Dodge Durango wheels fit? I know that a lot are 16" wheels and the wheels look alot like the sequoia/trds but not sure about wheel spacing.

I will try and find more info on this though.

I have the TRD FJ Cruiser wheels. I love them! To me they are very simple and look almost stock.

I am running 285/75 on my Ivan Stewarts and no issues other than at full stuff rubbing the inner fender lining. I am planning on switching to 255/85 next time around.

Love those rims Spish, especially in silver. I've been doing a boatload of research lately (too much) and came across your thread. I thought I'd share specs of wheels that I came across. Like you, I was only looking at OEM wheels. This is by no means a complete list.

First, the specs of the original 3rd gen alloy wheels (5-star or split 3-spoke): 16x7, 15mm offset, 6x5.5" bolt pattern, 106mm bore (this is important because our wheels are hub-centric), 4-5/8" backspace, 3-3/8" frontspace. (Front spacing can be used to estimate how far the rim might stick out or "tuck" in from your fenders.)

Other OEM wheels that will fit (all are 106mm bore and 6x5.5" bolt pattern):

- 1st gen Tundra/Sequoia, 5th gen 4runner SR5 and TE: 17x7.5, 15mm offset, 4-7/8" backspace, 3-5/8" frontspace (no spacers needed, rims will stick out 1/4" more than stock).

- 5th gen 4runner Limited: 20x7, 15mm offset, 4-5/8 backspace, 3-3/8" frontspace (FS same as stock).

- FJ Cruiser: 16 or 17x7.5, 15mm offset, 4-7/8 backspace, 3-5/8" frontspace (no spacers needed, rims will stick out 1/4" more than stock).

- 4th gen 4runner: 17x7.5 or 18x7.5, 30mm offset, 5.5" backspace, 3" frontspace (spacers may be required or else rims will be "tucked" in by 3/8".)

I am running 16" Tundra TRD wheels off an 06'. Dont really know the specs on them but they seemed similar to the stock 3 spokes that I pulled off.

I think these wheels look pretty good and think I am one of few that actually run them. Maybe I am the only one?

Wow those are nice! I don't think they would work on our 4runners cause they are 5 lug
