OEM roof rack nomenclature

I am missing one of the "tighteners" that go in each corner of the roof rack. The ones used to loosen and move the crossbar if needed. What is the correct term for these as I cannot find a replacement. Figured I was searching for the wrong term.

i assume you are referring to the tab that slides into the rails??

If you can't find one they are fairly easy to make with 1" flat stock and a 10mm drill and tap.

I dont think i am missing that. I havent removed the rack to check but i am missing the wheel thing that tightens the crossbar to the rail.

Pretty sure this is what you're talking about:
00278-00965 - Genuine Toyota THUMBWHEEL ASSY,KIT
They're called thumbwheels, and I'm pretty sure that part number includes all four and the plates that they screw in to, but you'll need to verify that with whoever you order from. I had a roof rack for my bikes for a long time, and when I switched to a hitch rack and went to put my crossbars back on, I couldn't find mine and had to order new ones.
