OEM Skid Plate Question

Hi All,

2014 SR5 4Runner. Just had an oil change at dealer. I see the front engine skid plate but is there supposed to be one covering the transmission? I swear I saw one prior to oil change and I see the two welded nuts like there should be one. Anyone know if there should be one there?

Thanks!

Thank you

Much appreciated for the quick response and pictures! Saved me an embarrassing call to the dealer!

What about the TRD front skid plate sold by Toyota for like 275 dollars. Which 4Runner models would get extra protection from installing it? I suppose the PRO would already have something like that there.

All...its 1/4 inch aluminum and offers slightly more coverage compared to what MTN4RNR so adeptly termed the "OEM Crumple Plate", which many others on here including myself can indeed verify as a solid description.

Saying that it's a solid description is misleading, there is nothing solid about it

Well let's give it some credit and say it is as solid an aluminum can of your favorite adult beverage at the shooting range. :50cal:

(Love that pic by the way)
