Im not saying that Toyotas are more capable than Jeeps. Im still sticking firm to that it all depends on the driver.
No weak parts?? That is kinda of a stretch statement, don't you think?
Hmm, you may want to dissect a Jeep Rubicon and compare part by part to your 4runner...you are going to be hard press to find a part of importance in off-roading that favors the 4runner. I challenge you!
As for driver, of course, if you have a novice and an expert, then it depends on the driver. However, this is NOT what we are talking about here. We are talking about OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY of a VEHICLE. The original poster did NOT mention anything about DAILY driving nor on-road performance.
Thus, i stand by my original statement. Now, if we were to compare a Jeep Grand Cherokee to a 4runner, then i am all for the 4runner 100%. But, when you guys bring in the Wrangler (which has VERY high resale value and has a pretty good reliability record!), you guys are stretching a little bit, esp. in the off-road department. (BTW, someone here recently showed that a Jeep Wrangler actually holds it's resale value BETTER than a 4runner!)
