Hey team - my 1999 Highlander edition was totaled last week by a FedEx driver. It's currently at a tow yard in South SF and the insurance company is waiving the salvage fee, so I can keep the car. Unfortunately, I live in the city and just don't have anywhere to store it. The driver said is pretty warped from the crash and the passenger rear tire popped off. There is probably some rear axle damage.

Would anywhere here want it for parts? I loved it and am bummed to see it just go to a junkyard. The three remaining tires are only a little over a year old. I replaced the timing belt/water pump, starter, battery, brake pads, and rotors within the last 18 months too. I have no idea if it's worth much but figured I'd throw it out there to see if anyone was interested.

I have a pair of AutoZone death sticks, happy to bring them with me. I've used them on my 4runner and other cars without being shuffled off this mortal coil (heh heh)

Dudes! Today my driver's side door stopped unlocking except with the key. Anyone willing to help me troubleshoot during Mod Day?

I have strut compressors and a cordless impact to make it as pain-free as possible.

Btw, I have a new Breather: 90930-03136 if anyone wants to the do diff breather mod. I just did the mod but used the original metal one.

Also, bought a 20 pack of T5/74 mini wedge LED bulbs white. Used a few but can bring some if anyone wants to replace some of theirs.

Also, anyone have one of these for a 97? Mine is all cracked and flaking off.

My 97 dash uses both 194 (bigger leds) and 74 (smaller leds). The 74 would be for small lights like the O/D off or ignition key light. I’ll bring them either way.

So this is where all the cool guys hang out at?! I moved to the Bay Area from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada two years ago. I just recently started fixing up my 4runner, which I've had since the late 90's. Original owner. Senior year high school to be exact haha. I've come a long way in just a short two months (thanks to this site), but hopefully in the Spring I'll be a lot further a long in my mods and will have the nerve to come check out your rides if welcomed! If not I'll still cruise by because it's a free country haha. I haven't went through this thread yet, so I'm excited to do that and see what's creeping around locally...see how NorCal represents on these forums! Going to make a coffee and get on it! :rockon: Cheers my 4runner brothers.

If you've got a cordless impact, i should be able to bust this out in like an hour, hour and a half, tops.

For anybody coming out today, I'm going to be bringing along a timing belt/water pump kit (Toyota parts) that I don't have a need for now. Also have a new Denso radiator in box. Both I will let go for cheap to get them out of my garage.
