Official: Gym/Workout Thread

I'm taking Cyto Gainer right now. Had a lot of success with it when I was in College. But I'm slow to put on mass now, gaining good strength though.
Also doing 1 more rep for pre-workout. Not really impressed with it. I got watermelon and it tastes terrible. I will probably go back to NO Explode.

Hmm I was hoping 1.M.R was good..but I have assault for pre workout and it's pretty good! Taste great and does pretty good on the pre part.
I know you've probably already had it but jack3d and C4 are really good, and there is a new pre that's called neon...it's suppose to be just like C4 but cheaper. I haven't tried it but my friend has. I personally hated NO explode...the carbonation killed it..so it tasted like ass. :barf: And could never use a small glass to mix it in

I hate usually use Muscle Milk. Seems to work well as long as I'm consistent with it. Cheap and I can get it at Wally World...

c4 is dope. 1mr was a little much for me, so was assault. Super pump was awful. Also hated NO. c4 is like my tried and true preWO

Did legs today. Drove to gym in anticipation of doing legs. Also did dead lifts for shiggles.

im starting to not use store brand pre workout anymore, right now for pre, i take 1 cup black coffee, 3g of citrulline malate and 5g of creatine.

I wish they still made the original Ultimate Orange. That stuff was the bomb! Take it as a pre-workout and I could workout, go home and clean the house, cut grass, do dishes and still had energy to go out all night!

As for now, I bought SuperPump to try, but haven't even used it yet.
I also bought Anabolic Freak and Amino Freak, protein powder and Glutamine.
The only thing I've cracked open so far is the Amino Freak.

So everything i have currently is assault (pink lemonade), beast creature (rasberry lemonade(creatine)), true mass (chocolate milkshake), A-HD (test booster), and Solid(hardening agent)... I've yet to open the A-HD and Solid so we'll have to see how they do!

Yeah I've had better results from NO, don't really feel anything with 1.M.R.
I've seen a lot of people talking about C4. That might be my next purchase.
I saw a news special about Jack 3D and it turned me off of it. I took it for a long time and it was always effective.

Can't remember what news program ran it, but basically there is a substance in it that is not approved by the FDA and the FDA recommended it be removed from workout supplements. Most all companies removed it but USP labs refused to.

I don't know if anyone's checked it out lately but on bodybuilding they have a new app that tracks your workouts and tells you if you hit your previous record! I really enjoy using it and definitely recommend it.
also anyone love driving their car after leg day? especially if its stick? :flamethrwoer2: = My Legs

That's the one you want to take!! Trust me, anything that garners news attention is working! Just use it as stated, or start with a smaller dose and see how it goes.

And no supplement is approved by the FDA. Look at the back label of any supplement for the obligatory statement- it's there.

I remember it being a very difficult workout, though.

Tsampa.org: Coan-Phillipi 10 Week Deadlift Routine

No kidding on this being a tough workout.
Friday i did:
Week 1
Reverse grip pull-ups: 3 sets of 10-8
Deadlift: 1x2 @ 300 lbs
Speed deadlift: 8x3 @ 240 lbs (90 sec rest b/w sets)
3 circuits:
Stiff-leg deadlift: 8 reps
Bent over row: 8 reps
Underhand (reverse) grip lat pulldown: 8 reps
After all that my legs were torn up. They were still sore today. I had to do tons of stretching and foam rolling.

Tough but effective! Weeks 4 & 5 are the worst, in my opinion. Get past those two and it's a bit smoother sailing.

Leg day was yesterday. F@*k me, but I got it done. Not too bad though.
On the brighter side tonight is all arms. Tris then Bis and some abs.

Question:
What kind/type of weight belt do you guys recommend? I need to get one this week since I'm pushing my deadlift up.

Also how do you guys set up your max bench day? I'm thinking of trying a max day next week since my bench is getting better and I want to see how I do with more weight. I can do 185x10, 205x8, and 225x5-6 just for reference. 225 is the most I've tried at this point.

Inzer forever lever belt. 10mm or 13mm. 10mm will be less stiff & hurt less when breaking it in, but I love my 13mm.

As for max bench, I always tried to start with a light 8 rep warmup followed by a slightly heavier 5 rep set. Then I just did singles until I hit my max. Usually started the singles around 40-50% of my max. At 225x5 or 6, I would guess your max is around 275.
