from the San diego meet today. had about 15 runners show up through out the day. these are just a few of them

Anyone interested in wheeling up to Santiago Peak from Maple Springs road next Friday July 4th evening to watch the fireworks?

The guys at this meet were discussing a potential Santiago Peak run on a Friday. I can't make 4th of July so I was hoping to get one going Friday, July 11th.

It would be a run instead of a meet and greet, so we can choose to use a normal meet date or set a separate one. I'm for the latter.

Let's hear your thoughts!!

[MENTION=65101]BrianSD_42[/MENTION] had the idea of doing a meet in oceanside for san diego 4runner and orange county guys. i think that would be a wonderful idea.

or on a different page someone recommended a meet further south one month then a meet further north the next meet, which again i think is a great idea.

I'm in if you guys decide to meet in Oceanside. Off the top, the south end of Oceanside Harbor would be the best spot - where the RVs park. I'll have my brother in law show up, too. Would it be cool if my other brother shows up with his FJ?

I'll be there on the 25th for sure. I've been itching to get out on the trail again. Hopefully we can get a good trail ride set up soon. Last one that I went on was from Redlands to Big Bear...

Not really, 3 rigs and a visitor. TRDTeen stopped by to say hello, also. I didn't take any pics.

Word is that we have been noticed locally... a guy came by my house in a lifted 3rd gen asking if I knew anything about the "local meets" he saw. He said he would come... though he didn't end up showing.

Not even LMR showed which is a first. Probably because I didn't make a hang out he invited me to.

Either I'm going to try the banner thing again (announcement across entire board from 15th through end of month) or just cancel the meets.

- no one seems to have any ideas for locations (with the exception of Oceanside), maybe I'll just dish one out. I was hoping another member would make the call to be more friendly to those in attendance, but maybe I'll just set it and forget it.

- inconsistent attendance, one month we'll get 15 rigs, the next three months will be less than 5.

- this thread is a ghost town pretty much. Could just be that everyones got better things to do than a car meet once per month.

It's because I had to get up real early Saturday morning to test some new suspension mods on the NSX out on GMR before going on a group drive on Sunday.

ill see what i can do with the san diego 4runner group. but i think most are gonna say its to far or not even wanna go. i understand the whole 15 rigs one meet then 5 the next. we just had one and i think 10 ppl showed up out of the 92 ppl we have in the group. how about Carlsbad for the next meet.

5620 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad, California nice big parking lot and tons of food options for ppl that want to eat and shop i guess.

just a suggeston.
