from now on I will post an announcement for the meets.
Also I'd love it if you guys can suggest some new places to meet. Our usual spot has recently changed ownership and the new owners do not allow loitering. this is in part due to a regular Thursday meet up of people in Hondas.
as of right now there is no upcoming meet until we can determine a new location.
The location for the meeting must be a large open area with space enough for 20+ vehicles. preferably a place that does not have a security service or signs posted against loitering. location should be reasonably centralized considering members are coming anywhere from the inland empire to San diego.

Tustin Market Place!
There is a huge parking lot near Best Buy, In n out, Bone Fish Grill,and REI...
Plus it's right off of the 5 Freeway and Jamboree... Super convenient.

Hi Guys, I am new 4Runner owner and new to this forum. I have gotten a lot of useful information from here and have already started building my ride. I live in Orange County and it would be great to meet up with other local T4R enthusiast and get ideas.

Would Thursday nights work well for people? because I know a lot of people are usually busy on Friday nights...
We could start doing it maybe the first or last Thursday of every month?

Hey guys,
Tustin Market Place may not be the best location for a meeting. It's an Irvine Company property and they've always got multiple rent-a-cops patrolling the lots to ensure our "safety". They tend to frown upon large gatherings. The ExpeditionPortal guys tried a meetup there about a year ago and this was an issue.
The District may be a better option. It's *not* an Irvine Company property and they may not be as paranoid about impromptu gatherings, although they did recently put the kibosh on an attempt to relocate the (infamous) Cars 'n' Coffee gathering there.

Lol since it's gotta move any chance it might move east a little? I am from above palm Springs so it's quite a drive. I'd like to show up but it's hard to make being so far away.

How about the Tustin District? Like somewhere near In-n-Out or Chick-Fila.
Or in the Woodbury shopping center in Irvine there is a huge parking lot, we could do it there? Off of Irvine Blvd. and Sand Canyon.
Block in Orange?

Irvine Spectrum is another option. The far lot by target is always vacant and as long as no shinanagans happen I doubt they would care about 10-20 4runners. Last meetup I went to was at the Laguna hills mall, their renta cops just rolled by us on bikes and checked us out. They were very cool with what we were doing and didn't say anything to us.
The Irvine meadows/Verizon theater is another option as well. After 4:30 it's a ghost town. Cops will not chase you off if you are not jacking around. If there is a concert that day forget it. The bearded wonder who drives the golf cart will chase you or the scheduling manager Tiffany. I use to work on the lot and we would let people shoot video, fly model aircraft, car shoots, people learning manual. If you are respectful they most likely will ignore you when they are not renting the lot out.
I am down with a Thursday meetup, I will be returning from MT in May.

I like the verizon lot idea best. Rhett seems to know what's up over there. It's HUGE.
I hate Irvine... sorry I'd rather just cancel it and let you guys handle it than go to a retail Irvine location. The thought of Irvine retail parking lots makes me cringe.
