And welcome! Use and abuse this forum it has some pretty runner-savvy members and loads of knowledge to be learned form these members. Congrats on your future of an empty wallet with all the fun to be had!!!!

I'm in Whittier almost every weekend. Your truck and that neighborhood looks somewhat familiar.
 
yes let me know if we're going to have a meet or something ... And just chill and check out other people rigs. I'm down if I'm not stuck at work
 
new to 4Runners & SoCal

hi - new to 4Runners (just picked mine up last week) and will be moving to the Ventura County area this weekend for work. i've been creeping on here - getting a few ideas. i'd be interested in meeting up and getting my ride dirty before i get busy with off-season/training camp.

Hey guys - new T4R owner in San Diego here as well. Was a jeep guy for a long time but sold my JK Rubicon and picked up a 3rd gen with s/c and rr diff lock.

Got a few maintenance items to take care then i'll start building. Looking forward to hitting the trails soon!

I just bought a 1996 Limited with 159k miles.

It's got a custom front bumper, winch, 3 inch lift, CB, front fox remote coilovers, rear bilstein HDs, and a Detroit locker in the rear.

I barely know how to use the thing, but could anyone let me know here (and/or PM) for local meets and any truck trail rides in the Santa Clarita, Bouquet Canyon, or Sespe Wilderness areas?

Greetings from the LBC! Own a 2012 Salsa Red TE... Bought it new and now that it has over 60k miles, I would like to take it off the pavement! Would love to go on a with some local folks... Will post a picture of the ride as soon as I wash it haha!:tea:

Hi guys,

I just joined the 4R fam and decided to start getting my hands dirty and build something I can mess around with close to home, or bug out for a few days with the Misses and the dog for a long weekend camping.

I picked up a 90 3.0 4wd drive that's a beauty in the paint body and interior and getting some work done for the transmission then looking to pull off the front axles, clean them up and replace the torn CV boots with some fresh ones. After that's done....its time to start moding and ill be looking to upgrade my tires to around 33's, throw a little lift on there with some longer shocks and ball joint spacers for the tires and travel.

Any input on kits/mods that are relatively inexpensive or give great bang for the buck, please let me know! I assume you guys have all been around the block and would love to chime in with your dream mods or stuff that you really enjoyed, all will be much appreciated.

To be honest no, and I did a lil searching just to double check and there's not much action, your in a tough spot. I know there's members in your area. You could always post in the Off Roading Thread..."Calling on all members within Bakersfield and surrounding area to get together for a meet" and see what kind of response you get and stay active with them til it turns a regular monthly thing. Or hold a mod day at your house to rally them up? Plan a trail run see if you get a response? Etc etc

Yeah Nor Cal next meet is in San Leandro, CA which is 4 hrs from you and ours is 3 hrs from you. We do have a few guys that are regulars who drive that amount of time to come to our meets to be honest and 2 hrs is pretty normal for most give or take next location each month. A 3hr drive isn't really that bad or make it a 2 day thing like most of us do anyways by camping the night before together or that night after our trail run.

Your more than welcome to join us on the 25th in big bear it's gonna be a really good time were at 30 rigs so far, lol.
