If COB is willing to change locations I have some places in mind. Something a little further north might help with getting some more from the LA area to come.

If you guys run Holy Jims, make sure to have someone take pictures while you're getting Tickets.

Playing where? Its just a short dirt road that ends on a hiking trail. I've been out there on my bike, and seen the sheriff writing tickets. Its mostly just speeding or tresspassing.

Shit like that will get you ticketed/arrested. Lytle Creek/Cleghorn aren't that far away, and you can have way more fun.

Realistically, if you guys are in SC- why not just hit the south end of Main Divide?

I'm trying hard not to characterize your new posts with similar tone as your previous ones, you've consistently portrayed a hostile state of mind.

A new location would be cool. Breweries, restaurants, scenic locations, wherever. Post up where you think we should meet next.

As the event organizer, I would prefer we keep within south OC.

The reasoning behind my choice being within South OC-- A lot of SD guys wanted to come, and it would be unfair to set the location further north. People like 4Running_Daily or DanKendall6 came all the way out from South SD. It is always hard to accommodate everyone, but it seems the best mid-point has been generally agreed upon as somewhere within south orange county (Within the areas between Irvine and San Clemente). I chose In N Out in Laguna Hills because it is visible from the 5 freeway, with notable landmarks and a good parking lot size. I think of this as the monthly car show, only 4Runners and Toyota trucks.

If you have interest in choosing another location with wheeling in mind, this is the subforum to get that going. Wheeling runs for all classes, abilities, and gens. This particular thread, though, is for Meet and Greet events. We found it nice that 2WD owners and beginners could attend without worry of getting stuck or breaking something. When it comes down to it, especially with the planned 7PM meet time, wheeling would not be suitable for beginners or a large group over 15 rigs, with more variables dependent on location.

Several attendees came out with other cars and would have been denied attendance. Take LMR in his Acura NSX, or another gentleman who showed up in a Kia because he still hasn't found "the one" 4Runner for him quite yet. Those in attendance last meet also seemed to enjoy the location, I distinctly remember hearing similar sentiments from LMR, Maz, a member from San Clemente/Durango CO, and others whom I've forgotten the names of.

My intention is no exclusions, anyone and everyone should be allowed to come to this event. This one thread is among an entire subforum of potential events, so if it doesn't suit you, start up a thread which does suit whatever it is that you want to do.

If you think I'm hostile behind a keyboard, just wait until you meet me. Ask anyone who's been on a run I've organized, I'm a total jerk. As it's been said- south county alienates LA people. How about something in/near Long Beach? It's on the border of LA/OC and I'm sure we could find a place with tons of parking. I'm not here to web wheel, I've put together a fair amount of runs in the short time I've been on this website and will continue to do so. My best advice to you would be to listen to the locals, and let the people from other areas make the haul if they want to.

I do like the Laguna Hills location. Since you are the event organizer it should be where you choose and you have good reasons for this location.

I was going to suggest South Coast Plaza area since there is lots of parking and food options including In-N-Out.
Was also going to suggest Cerritos area off the 605 to help with getting more people from the LA area. There is a ton of eating places and plenty of parking.
But as stated above the Laguna Hills location seems best, especially with people coming from SD.

April 25th at 7pm is good for me! I wont complain about the location, it works just fine for me.

Our last meet location was right next to BJ's. There's also a Ruby's in the same lot.


I fail to see your reasoning as to why we should move the meet location, and it seems that has been shared through most other members.


Anyone else (besides ElGringoLoco) really want the meet to be elsewhere? I'm not really hearing enough support behind moving it.
