OME 891 & LC Coil Comparison

Atalarico - here's my experience with 890's to help with your decision making.
I've run 890's with n86c's and tundras with n91s's for about 5 years. As of 10 mins ago, unloaded with 3/4 tank, I sit 22.25" upfront and 23.5" at the rear (hub center to wheel arch). Unloaded, the ride is very firm. It's not what I would say harsh, but a lot of vibration from bumps is transmitted into the body, but hey, it's a body on frame design. The handling however is excellent. I can corner aggressively, brake hard and keep control and hit pot holes with confidence at speed.
When loaded up, the ride becomes much better. These springs are designed for a constant heavy load to perform at their best. Last summer I did a three week road trip from Pittsburgh to Yellowstone via Colorado Springs and back. I had four adults and as much crap and luggage as I could fit in the back, including a loaded electric car fridge and some offroad recovery gear. (I have a pic somewhere, I'll post it if I can find it.) The rear ride height dropped no more than an inch, taking up most up the rake and leaving things looking almost level. I was very pleased with the final stance and the ride quality. My 70 yo parents in the back seats had no complaints about the ride either. The trip was mostly on black top, but I did drive the full length of Rampart Range Rd and a few side trails just out of Col Springs, and several hours on Yampa Bench Rd in Dinosaur NP. That trail was ROUGH. I wished the ride was smoother when offroad, but the ride quality was probably affected most by the noise coming from everything rattling in the car.
So thats my two cents. My 890/Tundra set up settled perfectly for my applications. Good luck with yours.

891

I have 891 on my 2000 4Runner and feel like they settled and got me back to the rear sag issue I had before I “lifted” it.
Got the 5100 andOME 883 upfront, with 891 and 5100 rear.
Got from bumper and steel cable winch, front went from nice lift to looking like normal.
My LCA used to be slight Angle down. Now level

My rear with a 3/4 inch drawer diy and gear be sagging. Also have house battery 70# behind passenger seat and fridge, maybe 40#

Not happy with front or rear after lift bumper now as I look OEM and feel like I am performance wise.

Can anyone suggest a good 3” lift with day extra 250# up front and 300# in back ?
Should I have looked for 4” lift coil?

With that much weight the only coils that I think you’d be happy with are the ome 2861 or dobinson c59-210v. The dobinson is 10mm shorter with 10lbs lower progressive spring rate if I remember correctly. I think both coils will have you at ~4” lift but in my opinion a little rake is a good look.

861 front and rear? I thought 861 are rear only.

What would be the equivalent for front?

With my obsessive amount of researching these last few months, I'd have to agree. The 861's are only for the rear more because of the spring rate than the physical design. I have 210's with about 350 lbs. of full-time weight in a rear storage system and loaded roof rack and they sit at about 24", hub to (limited) fender. To me, it's the perfect amount of lift with the stock 3rd gen 6112 coilover (~22.5" hub-to-fender) front setup:

I'm actually adding a 1/4" Toytec strut/coilover spacer in the front to get that butter rake.
