OME Lift Complete

Finished installing the OME lift with 884 lights in front and 889 coils in rear.

I'm concerned regarding this having possibly created "too much" of a lift in the front. Can I get some opinions on if things look "correct", specifically regarding the CV angles.

I did install the provided spacer from Toytec which i believe may be adding to the over concern.

Additionally LR UCA was installed and alignment has been completed as well.

Running with 275/70/17 BF KO2s.

Let me know what you guys think, and enjoy the pics!

Looks good. Did you install the Differential spacer that Toytec sells & the sway bar relocation kit? The diff spacer will correct you cv angles.

I did receive the front diff drop, however everything I read stated there was no real benefit. I didn't ask for it in my order though.

Could still use if there is some positive gains to be had though...

Looks good, the CVs look a tad too close (ie lifted high) for my comfort though if you are doing hardcore stuff. I'd take the spacer out if it were me.

This is the exact lift I am looking at getting. Doesn't the diff drop kit lower the front diff to correct for better CV angles? Could be wrong but that is what I understand from reading. How do you find the ride quality and steering effort/input? Any idea what your caster is set too with the aftermarket UCAs? I would like to purchase this exact kit just looking for real feedback on it.

Thanks,
Mike.

So they included a top hat spacer? I wonder why. seems odd since the ome stuff is designed to be vehicle specific typically and no need for spacers. How thick is that spacer?

Take a measurement from the center of your hub to bottom of fender flare.

Diff drop kit will make very little difference. It does not drop the diff. It angles it. Helps like 1mm maybe 2mm at best. But also changes up the pinion angle a bit. I don't trust them personally.

The spacer included appears to be 1/2 inch. From what I've found this is to provide 3 inch all-around as the OME alone provides 2.5 up front and 3 in the rear.

Measured center hub to bottom fender flare and it is 24 inches all around.

Haven't taken it on the highway yet but the steering and drive is much better overall, though I was coming from stock and worn down tires, so anything would be better.

I did not request to Max caster however after alignment am sitting and 3.5 driver 3.6 passenger. Suppose should be able to up this if I had specifically asked.

If this height is too high in front the only thing I can think to "adjust" is removing the spacer.

Feels ok overall just looking to prevent and premature failure if someone sees this as concerning.

You are running about 4" of lift then up front... 20" seems to be about the stock height. I've ran 23.75 for a long time with no issues, but I feel like that is near the limit to keep CV boots happy.

also, you probably have a reverse rake. The rear should be about 1" higher with that measurement.... Stock it is about 2" higher.

If the spacer is 1/2" it will yield 1" of lift due to the motion ratio.

I ran my OEM lift with no spacer and it was about 3" of lift. Maybe what you have is different, but seems odd to add anything more than a thin 1/4" spacer.

Thanks for the input. Looks like I may need to pull the spacer.

Should have checked on them prior, not sure I want to deal with that kdss sway bar again...

This. I don't want to do anything for awhile bc of that darn KDSS sway bar system. :frusty:

Also, OP, are you experiencing any lean one side or another?

Not noticing any lean, however there is an additional trim packer installed on the driver side, may be helping with that.

Your lift looks significantly taller than mine. I didn't get any spacers, but did use the trim packer. No kdss lean for me either.

Looked at my packaging slip from toytec and it does appear I was given the following:

Front Top Plate Spacer Kit

Since it came "assembled" I didn't think twice about if it belonged there. Going to look into removing this as lift and spacer is more than I was looking for.

Think it would be ok to reuse the longer studs provided and simply remove the spacer?

I have the same lift no spacers. My advise, give it some time. My lift settled in after about 1,500 miles. I'm running 285s. My only gripe is the back seems to be a bit stiff. But then loaded for bear towing the Sea-Doos to the lake with all seats taken it rode perfect, no sagging. I'm also adding a Gobi rack and C4 sliders so just that little extra weight may do the trick.
