Cmoney, I experience some initial settling, but after a year it looks the same. I'm level still with no rake.
JSimmons, the pictures were taken in Montana in the Fall.
Year Update
It's been a year now and 6,000 miles or so. Many trips taken and off-roading adventures. Wanted to give an update. First, I love the new suspension. I like my setup. The slightly bigger than stock tires have only taken a small hit to the MPG. Athetically, I really want to add bigger tires, but I take so many roadtrips that I just can't justify it. The Michelin tires have held up really good off the road, even though they're straight road tires.
To the suspension, they never really settled as much as I thought. Empty my 4Runner rides over bumps almost like a truck would. The suspension is great though. I've gone some crazy places out in the middle of nowhere Montana and have yet to worry about clearance. What a difference over the stock suspension (that was constantly bottoming-out). A big group of friends and I went up a trail for some overnight fun. On one trip it was just me and my gear. On another trip I had my 4Runner stocked full of people and camping gear. I'm talking stuffed. With that much weight, I could really feel the ride smooth out.
I'm glad I got the lift. Some people know its higher than normal, but it really blends in well, which is what I wanted. I could see how this can be addicting though, as I've faught the urge to get bigger tires. If I ever buy a car as a DD, then I'm going to go for it.
