OME or Body lift?? What's your opinions.

I got my 32x11.50 on my stock truck and at full turn they rub a little on the back side of the fender wells. I probably will stick with this size tires or maybe even 31's if I ever change all 4 and it looks like a measly 1" will take care of the problem. So I'm thinking a 2" lift will be good enough. I've looked into the OME kits and that seems like a good option but I've also been tossing around the idea of a 2" BL. What are you opinions on the pros and cons of both. This truck is more of a commuter than an off roader but I will be doing some trail riding during hunting season. Which one do you guys would fit me better.

OME will cost more, but ride awesome and give you more suspension travel. A body lift does nothing but increase tire clearance, and I personally think they detract from how the truck looks.

Ometge only reason for a body lift is to put a 3.4l supercharged engine. Or a 4.7l v8.

Body lifts, I have a 3rd gen, with 33's and a 3 inch lift, thinking about a 2 inch body lift to do 35's

I've never looked at a body lift for a 3rd gen, I couldn't tell you. Generally, you can go an inch without modifying stuff, but the more you go over that the more hassle it is.

I'd probably cut and tub to fit 35s before I looked at a body lift.

Well supercharged 3.4 or V8 isn't in my plans. I was thinking suspension, but even the OME kits are pricey. But I guess a quality ride and more travel is a bonus. I never really liked the idea of body lifts but I read somewhere about the advantages of getting the body away from the crossover pipe but I guess that's a small advantage and don't know the real benefits of that.

2-3" OME suspension lift and big fat tires. It works!
