OME Suspension - Question About Shocks

747, u used OME 884 for 2.5 in. of lift, then put in 5100s set in the middle, then installed a 3/4 thick spacer on top, right? so u used 3 different ways to lift the front, & any 1 of them would of done it. i assume u want 3 in. of lift? u dont need or want the spacer, if its 3/4 thick it will add 1.5, im not sure why u didnt just use the 884s & set the 5100 where u wanted, but you should be ok with the 884 & 5100 set at 0 lift.

So, my problems are now fixed. It was not bad planning.
To answer your question I got the 884 and the spacer preassembled on an fj strut. That is how I got them both and it is a good match for ride height.
Like I said though, problem solved! This would only happen with a 5100 I am guessing... The mechanic put the coil mount plate in upside down or right side up!!!!:headslap: I mean on most struts it is already attached.
This gave it like 3 more inches of clearance. It was bad. I mean way up there. Anyways, The Bilstein 5100 is now assembled correctly. The keeper ring is on the bottom of the shock for no lift. The topmount spacer is left in.
Now, it may be a tad higher in the front than the back. The shocks did lift it about an inch. But, it will level out when I put on the rear 5100s if they ever show up!!!
CONCLUSION The 5100s are awesome. Ride is much much better- less nose dive, less body roll, better turning. The tires now feel flatter on the road I would say.
So happy now.

Looks real good, eventually i'll go that exact route, because I know what you're talking about regarding the nose dive etc. I can only imagine how much nicer it rides now.

Chaz...i'm 99% sure we both have the same spacer and it's a 3/4" lift top-out spacer, not a 3/4" thick spacer which would yield 1.5" total like you said...that'd be insane if someone put all that together :wow: haha

Finally got the rear Bilstein 5100 shocks. Took off some used fj shocks. It raised it up about an inch. The rear sits a hair higher than the front now again. It is nice. I should post a new pic. If I wanna level it I could just raise it with the front struts with the four setting on ride height. It is at no raise now...? It may be too high then. Don't wanna rip my cv boots.
But, too summerize; the rear 5100's are so, so much better than factory fj shocks. It is much better.
