On the tail end of a 5,000 mile and 4runner just crapped out, could use your help!

I went to get something out of my 4runner and it was completely unresponsive to the fob. When I opened the door none of the lights or anything turned on. I noticed a strange noise coming from under the hood. No clue how long this was going on for, but I just disconnected the battery. Here's a link to the noise Tick tick tick - YouTube

Is that ticking coming from inside your fusebox? If so, I would start unplugging them until you find the one that's making the noise. I'm no expert, by any stretch of the imagination, so I'll stay tuned to see what others say.

sounds like something got stuck and the relay is clicking on and off that caused your batt to drain and you have no power. thus your problem.

Reconnect the battery, find out which relay is clicking and remove it. Jump start it and be on your way. Unless of course the relay controls something important, like the fuel pump.

edit: you can identify the offending relay by placing your hand/finger on each one.
