Opinions on LED tail lights?

Hey guys, in the next week I will be earning a bit of money and I am thinking about some LED tail lights. What do you guys think about these tail lights? Are they worth the money? Are there any problems that come with them? I would like to hear what you guys with these lights have to say. Thanks in advance!

There's quite a few good threads but they won't show up in search unless you use Google because LED has only 3 characters and T4R.org search requires 4 chars.

In the UK I went for a direct like-for-like clear lens cluster replacement....they are identical to OEM except clear & also come complete with coloured T20 stop/tail + flasher bulbs, utilising all the original bulb housings.

I went one step further, replacing the front & side flasher lenses with clear & then swapping out all bulbs with LED, including an LED flasher-relay upgrade.

Now almost all my lenses are completely clear without even the slightest hint of any background bulb discolouration - Spyder LED clear 3rd brake arrived yesterday but needs some modification to finish the job off.

You guys have HUGE spoiler brake lights on your T4R's compared to those on our imported Surfs - but I'll soon have that fettled to fit before the weekend :whoo:

I really like the looks of LED tails, but they are purely a cosmetic piece to me. I'd much rather put the $150 towards a maintenance item or more useful upgrade (IMO) like skids or sliders. Will I get some eventually, yes, but not till my mod list is very small and I have the extra cash to throw around.

That is what I started to think about. Maybe throw a little more down and get some tundra brakes or just do some maintenance that has not been done in a while.
