As the title says, I've got a '97 SR5 with 140k miles, it's been mechanically running great its whole life, but I just returned from a long period abroad to discover some serious rust has appeared all over the chassis. Evidently one of my family members took it up to the snow several times without washing it down afterwards.
Just brought it to a garage and they told me it's not worth trying to fix, that I should just drive it while I can then sell it. I wonder if some of you might tell me your opinions on it judging from the photos? Sorry for the poor quality and lighting, but I had to take these in a rush at the garage. How much might this detract from the resale value? (I'm a bit afraid to find out)
