Can we put the HID conversion in the projector housing like a 2016 trail , without problems. I have always been curious about this.

I taped the halogen cutoff points on a wall before installing a 35 watt HID kit and it was the almost same points. The HIDs actually put less light above your headlights centerline. I did need to lower the drivers side headlight just a hair so I was not exceeding the 4" allowance at 25' but the passenger side needed no adjustment

The nuts and bolts of my original post towards you was about wanting to see a beam pattern, and that if the kit held up, the price was right.

As far as the rest of your nonsense in this post, I don't even know what to say. You brought up education. Ironically, that is the degree I have. But I will say, I do use my college degree to help a lot people, daily. I actually write user documentation that is literally used by thousands of people. So, I haven't failed there. But again, I found your college call out thing ironically humorous, that is all. You seem to have again been nerve stricken.

Lastly, I was never out to embarrass anyone. The point of my original post to you was quite the opposite, and I'm still posting here with the end goal of "helping people".

You can either post a beam pattern hopefully proving your point (or displaying why many think HIDs shouldn't go in reflector headlights), or you can just drive this thread into the ground much like your last headlight thread.

Every single thread on this topic in the past has a few of you guys saying you'll blind the world by doing this. Maybe you are right, maybe not. I told you to do your due deligence and start a thread proving your point. You immediately backed off saying you needed a test subject. That to me means you are just trolling and are not willing to put in the work required to prove your point. Either start your own thread countering this one and proving you are right or STFU.

I don't agree with many mods that are posted in this forum but if the poster takes the time to document their mods to try to help others out, they should be able to do so without you keyboard cowboys poo poohing everything they do. But before I sign off, I want to say that you are (in my five years here) the very first moderator/admin that I've seen, that has actually "Rolled up his sleeves" and made a passionate attempt to redirect a thread that's clearly running off in the ditch. I put a similar kit in my rig about a year ago. I have not had any problems so far (knock on wood) and have appreciate the better quality/ brighter light. I have a 3 inch lift, so I had to angle my lights down so that I was not blinding anyone. Yes they are brighter, but so are numerous other lights out there... Infiniti, Range Rover, Mercedes, Some Chevy's, etc. Now I just can see versus he crappy yellow colored light that came in them to begin with.

For the last time, the only reason I brought it up was because he made a snarky comment along the lines of "show us that english degree" and I actually do have one. I thought it was funny. It wasn't being critical.

I took your advice and ordered a set for my dad's LX470 with H1 halogen projectors.

Hope its will better then a previous set that burned out within 3 months. It didn't like the automatic headlight function.

Also ordered a set of spot work lights for my limited, wanted to use them for reverse lights. So many choices on ebay and amazon. I used your recommendation on which company to use.

I'm more than glad you're having a favorable experience with these OPT7 HID conversion kit lowbeams. I was so impressed with them that I shared my very successful experience with the 5'th gen forum but the thread (as expected) turned into a total cluster ****! I explained why I liked these lights so much e.g., no glare, not a lot brighter than the halogen bulbs, took five minutes to install both sides, cost was only $33 bucks, two year warranty "NO QUESTIONS ASKED", available in a full (Kelvin) color spectrum... etc.

The bottom line: "I'm enjoying these lowbeams more that any other H-11 light I've ever tried, and it sounds like your having a successful lighting mod with these as well... Thanks for reporting back; that lets me know that I did the right thing by sharing them with the team
