Original Owners Only

Just bought this from my Pop today.. I've had use of it for several winters as folks go off on to warmer parts.

2002 Black Limited with just under 60,000 miles.

Body is in nice shape, considering it's never been waxed in 16 years.

A bunch of maint items need my attention, and some chassis rust scrubbing..

I'm super-thankful for this forum and all the amazing Vids and posts here..!

Thanks,

JD

That's awesome! Yes, practically a barn find with 60K Welcome to the Original Owners Club. Just do everything you can to keep the rust away from it.

EDIT: So you became a member this month and you have 14 posts and yet you still managed to find this thread. That's pretty impressive.

Ill join in on the fun here. Originally purchased in December of 2001 as a replacement to my parents chevy blazer that died. Brand new off the lot with 10 miles, SR5 trimmed out almost to Limited (no heated seats or fog lights).
I cant find the window sticker but I do have a pic of my Dad when he bought it :) and all original owners manual and all factory documentation in a Toyota zip up case.
current mileage: 245,985 I'll roll 246,000 on my way home tonight.

Mike,
I've been wanting to do this for a while. This pic is of all my original keys & fobs. I've never lost one, only replaced the batteries. Did you get the Gold key ring from the dealer with the Gold Package like the one in my pic?

Hey Bruh,
I think you and i have spoken one before.... you like to Bass fish right? Hoping that i didn't get you mixed up with someone else..

I think we spoke about RUST once before too and IT STILL SUCKS!!! I had the old gal in the shop for some extensive work... and sadly the rust here complicated things.. Dude it sucks...
How have you been? Where are you again? Brentwood is still the same. I'm still stuck here on the Island.. I mean not stuck but living here....

Dude that is awesome. Peep the 80 series LC and Previa in the background. The pinnacle of Toyota. Guys, I think we need to do a "4Runners take over Times Square".

Thats would be pretty cool!!! I saw a bunch of jeeps doing similar the other day..

Done it once with some other cars. Subaru guys do it all the time. No idea if we are big enough in the tristate. We might end up looking like a lost convoy of 4Runners.

HAHAHAHA,
I can't say that I have ever seen a convoy of Runners!! but that would be pretty cool if i did!! I see some lifted runners on the LI though... thats Hopeful!

Been meaning to take and share this picture for a while.

My dad bought mine new in 97.

I remember driving back from the dealership, Longo Toyota, in Los Angeles back to San Diego. Passing Camp Pendleton, there was a Humvee driving on a dirt frontage road kicking up a huge plume of dust across the highway...my dad was livid!

He passed it down to me in 04 when my 86 4Runner (passed down from my mom) bit the dust. I've been driving it ever since, now with 293,000 miles on it. Here it is a couple months ago with some buddies in Baja:
