Ouray Colorado Summit

This looks like alot of fun. I was in Durango/Silverton the week before FJ summit last year. I'm not sure if I can make it this year due to my work schedule (lots of out of town work this summer) but it is on my short list of things to attend within the next 3 years.

Nice, thanks Reata. 4shorerunner, Limamike and myself are getting together to do some trip planning in the next week or two and will figure out if we can get across the country in time to join.

If I'm officially in DFW by then, I will definitely be interested. However, if I'm still in AZ, then I will be taking some back roads and byways to the summit.

Josh, we will catch it when you are able. I would imagine I will be a 'regular' after this year. Joneseyyy, limamike, 4ShoreRunner, let me know. I am going to convert you to maybe's until I hear from you. Cool?

I'm sure I'll see some of you guys up there. I only live about 90 minutes away, and was going to attend this year just to see what all the fuss is about.

I'd like to commit to the 2017 run. I'm stuck in boring ol' flat Florida until then.

I'm driving down to St Augustine after the Summit this year. I'll stop in Jacksonville and let you wash my truck if you want. You know, it'll be like a vicarious experience. :fro:

Why do I have a feeling this just turned into a scene from Dodgeball...

"That's it boy- get in there nice and deep like..."

Reata: I got your PM.. still looking into it, but it's starting to look like I'll be the guy taking the pictures of your convoy rolling into town instead of being in it.

Okki

It is the last thing I would ever want to do....divert you from our beloved T4R site to the FJCruiser site, but please click the link to see the plans underway for the Medano Pass OFF-ROAD overnight trip on the way to Ouray for the Summit.

1st Un-Official Caravan DFW/Amarillo/Medano Pass Off-Road (Overnight)/Ouray - Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum

Joneseyyy and I talked about this at Ducmonsta's party the other day, and we both want to try really hard to make the timeline. So, when specifically would we have to meet the party in Walsenburg, CO?

If we actually leave on time from Amarillo, it should take us about 5:30 minutes to get to Walsenberg. Add in another hour for gas stops potty breaks, lunch etc. and then we are at 6:30 hrs. Departing Amarillo at 830am arriving Walsenberg by 3Pm. Can you swing that?

I wish we could join you for the caravan, but we will not be arriving in Ouray until the 22nd. We take an annual vacation in Ouray with a group from here in the DFW area and had already made our plans for the week of the 22nd - 28th. It would be great to link up with any other DFW area T4R members in Ouray, especially those from DFW, if anyone is still around Saturday afternoon on the 28th. We're staying at the KOA.
