Hey guys, since changing to the supra injectors the boost has been acting differently in my runner.
First off, as compared to before, it is reaching high and peak boost with much less throttle input. Its pushing 5.5 psi at about half throttle, theres not much room in between 0 and 5 throttle wise. ???
Second, it is over boosting. I have the stock pulley and am pushing 7.5+ psi consistently on both the TRD boost gauge and my torque phone app.It was also showing these psi before i did the injectors, but its odd that the torque app shows different value than the trd guage, but both top out at 7.5-8psi. again the 7.5-8 has been what ive gotten since i got the truck.
Now, i was just driving trying to see if i can find something, phone app on the dash as well. after a few miles i opened it up just like i had done 10 times, and all the sudden the trd boost gauge goes off the chart, and the phone app shows 28.7psi!!!! D: i didnt let off the gas, and the boost started to drop til it was back down to 7.5 or so.
I checked all the vacuum hoses, some are old and might have a pinhole, none were off or anything though. i may well have a leak, but i dont see how that wouyld cause overboost more than the pulley is actually capable of. especially 28+ psi???? any ideas on what could cause something like this and why the stock pulley appears to be making 8psi???
