pitt its in my dream color, has the sport hood, is super clean and has very low miles....

take the 3" body lift off and get some reasonable tires and it wouldn't be half bad.

Well, let's think for a second. It does look nicely done. Has solid axle in front. So it is pretty tough. Has coilovers, looks like king. I'd take away the 3" body lift and put different tires, and it would probably look better and be beast. But to each is own. Not gonna lie, it is a pretty bad ass 4runner.

It is pretty badass but is way to big. I'm happy with my 3" lift

Also makes you think there is something wrong, since it's not selling at that price. I'd ask more for mine.

This 4Runner is relatively local to me so I've kept an eye on it. The title price started at $15,900 and as it lowers, the ad price stays the same.

I would rock it, yes its sad to see a low mileage example being modified like that but what is done is done so why not enjoy it

The only thing i dont like about it is how far out the wheels stick out looks terrible on a 4runner besides that I like it ..

The problem I see is that in VA this thing is a rolling ticket magnet if you actually try to drive it around. That's probably why he's selling it. If you ever managed to get an inspection sticker on it, the first State Trooper that pulled you over would probably impound the truck and go straight to the garage that issued the sticker and arrest them. Even mildly altered suspension is hard to get away with in VA, let alone something this drastic.

39 inch meats on a D44? 35s are pushing it on a stock D44, 39s are way too big. No, there's nothing "tough" about it. That's a poser truck, built to look cool by a guy with a tiny dick who has no intention of actually using it and wouldn't know how if he did.

Running spacers is frowned upon and I know that running too big of spacers with too wide of a wheel will land you with a ticket. That and laws about lift height, tire size, and even light bars. If you have a light bar, you're supposed to have a cover on it when it's not in use as well as inspection time; without the cover, you'll get a ticket and/or fail inspection if you're trying to get it inspected.

I have a good friend who does inspections (and has a lifted 1st gen 4Runner) and he's always told me there's no way they could pass a truck with a solid axle swap because of the rules for altered suspension.

I'm sure it's possible to find a shop that would do it if you looked long enough, but for me it wouldn't be worth the hassle you'll get from the State Police. I used to get pulled over all the time just for a set of Flowmasters on a Trans Am.
