The long story:
I always use Mineral 15/40 oil and one time at the oil change place I was reccomended semi sinthetic 15/40 oil which I tried after an engine flush. After 3000 miles went back for a oil change and when the mechanic opened the oil cap saw grease on the inside of cap. Checked the oil and said that it was missing at least a quart. Baffled i told him to flush again and put regular oil again. I started to get the p0012 and p0016 codes, but it was running perfect, started at once and the same power as before. Afraid that it had gummed up inside the engine I took it to the shop for a time chain and sludge check. Everything was fine, only some sludge which was cleaned, and the timing chain was to spec. Put it back together again and did not see the light again. Fast forward 6 months and my starter gave, got towed and they took it out to replace. They had a hard time with one of the bolts so they forced it out. After 2 weeks had to come back because there was a problem with the starter, apparantly one of the starter cables had come loose and was shorting out. After the fix the codes came back. So I am at odds as why the codes keep coming back. The truck runs great, no problems whatsoever. Please help.
