P0133 Code... Missing plug on O2 Sensor?

My truck threw a code for the Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor- I say okay easy fix. I crawl under there to pull the plug and get the replacement from O'reilly- but the plug that plugs the sensor into the truck is not there. The wire runs up and over the transmission and I can't see up there if the plug is there or not. From looking it up I have found that there is supposed to be a plug that i can just unplug the sensor and plug in the new one really easily- but i'm not seeing it. This might be a bonehead question but i really don't want to take it to a shop for something so simple. Help?

Is it a Cali. emissions or '01-'02 with two cats? If it is, it may be like mine where you have to unbolt the sensor first and pass it over the top. Then the plug will hang down on the other side and you can unplug it easily. All the DIY's I have seen are one-cat trucks and say to do the plug first. Won't work on mine.

It's a 98- so only one cat... but that does look like what i might have to do. The truck was in wyoming and montana the entire time tho before i bought it it doesn't make sense that it would be cali emissions? You are probably right tho- thanks a bunch for the tip.
