I know it's been covered a thousand times but I couldn't find info that helped.

So this code started showing up a while ago. I decided to go the "correct" route and replace the parts. The valve has been replaced, and the pump has been replaced. I'm still getting the code. Limp mode sucks. So... am I looking at a computer problem at this point? Or is there something else that it could be. The guy who replaced the parts can command the pump on and off, command the valve open and closed. Everything is working as far as anyone can tell. I'm pissed because of how much this has already cost me. Is the block off kit still an option? I can't imagine so if it's a computer issue.

That's what you're looking for Awz, the bypass with plates is effective and cheap especially compared to what you've already spent.

Thank you guys. I guess I was hoping for something simple, like: oh yeah, you just need to smack the side of the engine with a big hammer and you're good to go. Guess I won't have to worry about it after this, just getting so poor.

Alright bought the Hewitt tech bypass. However due to previous owner stupidity, I can only install the driver side block off. That gonna be a problem with valve one stuck? Seriously who uses rtv as a permanent exhaust fix?

Actually got a response from Paul at Hewitt. I'll post it here for future reference for others.
If after installing the kits and clearing the codes you get the valve stuck open code popping back up you will have to get the plate installed on that side.
The nice thing about the 4.7L is the plates will fit at either end of the air tube that runs across the back of the engine. If you cannot install them
In the normal location you can install it between the air valve and the air tube. It is just harder to get to that location.
If the code doesn't pop back up you can hold off on it but you will still need to get it installed as it's the only way to make sure the valve won't leak in the future.
