P2443 Code/Secondary Air Injection

I have searched here and elsewhere and generally only find information about this issue with Tacomas from roughly 2005-2012. There is almost no commentary about this issue or solutions with a 5th Gen T4R.

I have a 2014 LE with 75k miles. Just bought it CPO about a month ago. It has had no notable concerns until today.

Air temperature about 18 degrees, although this past week we have had several days below zero when the 4Runner ran fine.

Hopped in, started it up, and immediately see the CHL and Traction Control lights illuminated. Shut down, restarted, same thing. Pulled out my code reader and saw P2443. Cleared the code, warning lights shut off, and I drove to work like normal.

We are supposed to take this vehicle to visit family next week and I don't want to have it break down and leave us stranded. There are some horror stories on Tundra forums. I live in the middle of nowhere in Vermont with no Toyota dealer close by, although I could get to one if I had to.

How should I proceed? Don't worry about it? Bring it to the dealer? Buy a bypass kit?

Link to bypass kit???

I am pretty sure we got ours off of here specifically for his generation of 4runner, if you look at the 4th gen 4runner page there is a long thread going on this problem, and there is a company that makes kits, we didnt use the company but in my research I saw that they make kits for v6 4runners all the way up to the new ones.
