Paint oxidization on hood and roof - what did you do to it?

Just bought a 97 t4r limited with 200K miles and the hood and roof paint is looking pretty bad with oxidation. Just checking to see what others are doing. Are you repainting, replacing, buffing out, or just saying screw it....

In the same boat, im also curious of what anyone has done to their ride....im contemplating on vinyl wrapping my roof flat black or something along those lines

Have it repainted. You can spend lots of time trying to fix it but it will never come out good.

You can get a the roof and hood painted for a few hundred for quality job. I'm OCD so the imperfections of buffing or wrapping with vinyl would make me mental.

Is it oxidation or clear coat failure? Big difference. One can be fixed with buffing and the other requires repainting. Pics are necessary to make a judgement. Flat black roof looks like sh!t on 3rd Gens. They don't have the lines for it to work.

Check out my build thread in my sig, the whole paint job costed me about 300 or so dollars. Got everything from monstaliner. Really good paint. I did the whole thing myself.

I bit the bullet and had the roof and hood repainted professionally. Cost about $1000 if I remember correctly. Had the paint blended into the top of the fenders because those were faded too.
