Painted bug deflector

Does anyone know if the Canadian bug deflector is made clear? I'm thinking about painting it Galactic Gray to match my 4Runner's paint.

Anyone try this already? With any bug deflector?

I havent come across a clear Canadian yet...but painting the underside of it Galactic Gray to match would be quite cool for sure.

Cool... so now I know that the Lund deflector must come in clear. Does anyone know if the Canadian deflector comes in clear also?

Hmmm... wait a second... is that Lund deflector clear with the paint on the underside? Or is it smoked and painted on the outside?

I thought it would be a good idea to paint the underside of a clear deflector.

Okay, now I just have to find a Canadian deflector in clear, since I like that style the best.

I have a feeling that they don't come in clear though...

haha i have a 3rd gen with the stock bug deflector and i had some mirage paint made and had it painted a blue/red/yellow/purple/orange chamillion paint, its pretty cool, ill post up some pics in a few days, a buddy has my digital cam.

The Toyota ones only come one way (tinted).

b/c you dont want to paint the front...only the back...clear lets the paint show through...although if you had a decent paint job, you may not need to worry.

Koz...you would want to paint the underside to protect the paint from rock chips. If you painted the regular surface...it would eventually look like my windshield...which isn't very good...LOL.

ohhh ok that makes since, ive had mine painted for a couple of weeks now and no blemishes or scratches at all. Im sure that will change after a long enough period. Plus i do alot of highway driving and havent yet so we'll see that happens after that.
